What’s included in the new Martha Stewart Decorative Paint Line? 160 colors in a variety of finishes (glitter, satin, pearl, high gloss). Special applicator tips with sponge tops that you can easily screw on to any color you choose and get painting! There is a roller finish that is amazing. Instantly turn any of your paints into a roll brush for smooth painting! Want to spray paint? The Martha Stewart Spray Paint Kit instantly turns any of the colors into SPRAY PAINT! No more choosing between the boring colors of spray paint out there. You can use any of the 160 colors or mix up your own. Amazing!
AND there is more… there are finishes you can mix to any color for chalkboard, gilding, glow-in-the-dark, etching, crackle, etc! So many options, the hardest part is deciding what project to make! You can use the paints on all surfaces (even fabric) and they’re dish-washer safe and non-toxic.
DIY HOSTESS TRAY TUTORIAL
On a recent trip to Home Goods, I picked up a leopard print multi-use tray! The tray was a great size and well made, but I wasn’t too keen on the leopard print so I decided to make it over with my new Martha Stewart Multi-Surface Paints! I also picked up a simple wooden frame to repaint too! Here is the before picture….
I decided to use the fabulous stencils that are part of the new Martha Stewart Craft Line to decorate my new tray. First I chose my colors! I love warm hues, especially since we’re headed into the fall. So I chose a metallic gold and a bright coral. I painted the leopard print a dark coral red to cover the print. Then topped it with a metallic gold. Finally, I used the quatrefoil print stencil with the bright coral.
Ta-da! I’m SO in love with how it turned out! The metallic gold shines through the bright coral. It’s surrounded by a brown finish. I’m excited to use it as the perfect hostess tray whether it’s breakfast-in-bed or a catch all for keys, magazines, mail, etc. This would also be perfect for serving cocktails at a party.
Stay tuned for even more upcoming projects made with the Martha Stewart Craft Line. I’m painting the wooden frame a fun orange + aqua combo, and I’m going to try my hand at painting some blank onesies since the paint is also perfect for fabric!
