This darling 1st birthday is Rubber Ducky themed! Submitted by Jill Higgins, she knew her son Cole’s 1st birthday would be Rubber Ducky themed since bath-time is his favorite part of the day! Decorated in subtle hues of blue, yellow, and orange, the party was a delight with sweet ducky cupcakes, bubble “marshmallow” treats, “ducky feed” pretzels, and super cute bubble favors! There was even a photo booth set up with super-cute prop signs… check it out… rubber ducky birthday cupcakes

Cole’s 1st birthday was a DIY fete for mom, Jill. She started out by searching etsy for the perfect invitation (always a great place to start). She found the perfect invite and was able to modify the digital file to create signs, food labels, favor tags, and other paper goodies that really take a party from cute to FAB!

Mom searched online for other rubber ducky + bathtime themed parties to help her come up with some cute food name ideas. Here is what she found…

bubbles = marshmallows
cheese and quackers = cheese and crackers
duck feed = pretzel sticks
blue jello = duck pond jello
lemonade = yellow duckyade

The cuteness didn’t stop with party treats, Mom created a SUPER cute photobooth! She purchased a photo “bubble” graphic and added text in photoshop to create a number of funny signs for the children to hold. These pictures will surely be memorable ones from Cole’s 1st birthday party!

For some party fun, Jill bought inexpensive bubbles for favors and made matching labels that were glued over the original labels. She also filled pails with candy rubber ducks and added a matching tag.
