Rubber Ducky Party

This is a classic party theme! It’s perfect for a baby shower or a young child’s birthday party! And when you’re done? Save all your decorations for fun bath time toys!  My mother, who taught me all there is to know about party designing, styled this darling rubber ducky party! I can only claim the photography. I adore every detail from the cupcake stands (she made these- you’ll learn how in a future post!) to the favor boxes that match the blue and yellow color scheme perfectly!

Delicious vanilla bean cupcakes were served with yellow tinted vanilla buttercream frosting! Simple rubber duckies were placed down on each cupcake.  These were great favors too.  Fresh squeezed lemonade was served to go with the yellow theme!  The fun polka-dotted glasses came from Pier 1 and the fabric (1 1/2 yards) from Hancock Fabrics.

Want to try a fun twist on this classic theme? Use a different color! We love yellow but rubber duckies are coming in all colors lately (we recently saw silver ones at Michaels!) Oriental Trading has lots of fun ones (even glow-in-the-dark!).
