Last year, Cinco de Mayo was spent with a lot of newborn rocking and zero margarita sipping. This year, however, I’m fully partaking in some fiesta festivities! I’ll be sipping on a Seagram’s Escapes inspired Peach Fuzzy Navel Margarita, to be exact! I’m excited to share a little Cinco de Mayo setup and delicious (and easy) recipe with y’all today. I hope you’re inspired to enjoy the day and celebrate!
Margaritas are one of my absolute favorite beverages so I’m always up for delicious twists on the classic. With a little one (and a new puppy) running around, I don’t have a lot of time to prepare for friends coming over or cocktail time. So when a twist on the classic is also ready in seconds? Now we are talking! My childhood years were spent in South Carolina where we enjoyed the most delicious peaches, it’s one of my favorite fruits! So when I was recently enjoying the Seagram’s Escape’s flavors (all the bottles are gorgeous, I’m a sucker for beautiful packaging – did you see my instagram pic?), I knew I wanted to turn the Peach Fuzzy Navel into a margarita. Combine my two favorite loves? Yes, please! Pass me a straw! P.S. I’ve been loving on these gorgeous bottles for years, here’s a sunset, seaside dinner party I hosted a couple of years ago!
For an easy Cinco de Mayo party setup, go for bold colors like yellow and orange! The bottles blend beautifully so I doubled them as decor and displayed them for guests to pick their favorite flavor! Chips and salsa are a must for this holiday so be sure to have some handy. White dishes really pop on the colors so I chose my everyday serveware. Fresh peaches and limes added garnish throughout. A pitcher of the Peach Fuzzy Navel Margaritas kept the fun flowing!
You can absolutely create a pitcher of these to keep ready for last-minute guests or if you have other hostess duties to handle, this is one thing you won’t have to worry about! Pour, stir, and keep chilled. Having a large group? Pick up a variety of bottles of Seagram’s Escapes and set out tequila, lime juice, lemon juice, schnapps, and triple sec as well as sugar and salt for rimming. Then, let guests “build their own” flavored margarita!
PEACH FUZZY NAVEL MARGARITA
3 bottles Seagram’s Escapes Peach Fuzzy Navel
6 oz. Tequila
2 oz. Peach Schnapps
2 oz. Lime Juice
1 Peach, for garnish
Combine Seagram’s Escapes, tequila, peach schnapps, and lime juice in pitcher. Pour over ice and enjoy! Garnish with fresh peach slices.
Peach Flavored Salt & Sugar Rim
Whether you like salt or sugar rimming your margarita, here is a fun twist to give it a peach kick! Add fresh peach juice to your salt or sugar and stir to mix. For an orange color, add a tiny drop of orange food coloring and stir again to combine. Dip glasses in lime juice and into flavored salt (or sugar)! You can see in the pictures that it gives the rim a little hint of peachy orange and the flavor too.
