Host a Spooktacular Halloween Dinner Party

Halloween might typically be Orange + Black, but you know me (and if you don’t, HEY!.. you’re about to learn I love black and white). I’ve been in my new home since March, but this is the first Halloween so I’ve been itching to whip out all the spooky decorations. Plus, my two year old thinks these glowing ghosts are literally everything. I agree. So I set a Black and White Spooktacular Halloween Dinner Party Table! (All the sources are listed at bottom if you want a quick look at something).
I started things off with a black tablecloth (you could certainly use white). I pulled out lots of my candlestick holders and added in black and white tapered candles. Next up, black dinner plates were topped with a simple striped salad plate. Here’s a clever tip… ready? Pick up Halloween-themed die-cuts from the craft store (like spider webs) to place in each plate. Find these near the paper and scrapbook aisles. It instantly gives them that “fright factor” without having to own a billion holiday dishes (unless your name is Courtney and your addiction can’t be stopped).

Next up, my favorite part of this Halloween tablescape. BLACK WINE GLASSES (mine are from Frontgate here). We drink out of clear wine glasses 99.9% of the time, so when given the chance to add some spooky elegance to things, it’s a YES. I seriously love these glasses. They also come in stemless, goblets, flutes, martinis, etc. I’m already thinking of other reasons to use these throughout the year!

Down the center of my table, these chic white ceramic pumpkins are displayed both directly on the table and elevated on candle holders. What I love about these is that you can use them for spooky tablescapes like this one or separately for stylish fall decor. I have since relocated these to my white mantle for a “white on white” look that is gorgeous!

You MIGHT have noticed my spider friend hanging from the chandelier. Just a little bit of decorative spider web and a craft-store spider did the trick. This was the talk of the party, friends. I also used the spider web on my mirror and front door too. It helps set that Halloween mood! And it’s inexpensive, win-win!

My new favorite bar cart (how cool is this shape?!) houses all the “spirits” for the evening! From sparkling red wine to a variety of “fangtastic” cocktails, I displayed them on this brass beauty. Of course I added in some ghost friends too…

The best thing about this Halloween Dinner Party? It gets even spookier when the sun sets. These fabulous ghosts that I have around the room cast a ghastly glow for the perfect ambiance. I plan to display them down my stairs throughout the season and out on my front steps on Halloween night!

Stunning tabletop!!!
Thank you!
This dinner set is looking very beautiful and i really like this.
Beautifully Done! My decor for Halloween has been in black & white for years. Is more common now then when I started. I even painted my 80s brass chandelier in white. Yes I’m old:) Wish I can see a bit more of your beautiful chandelier. Happy Halloween 2019

It’s a few years ago, but I believe it was Grandinroad or Frontgate
This idea looks perfect for a Halloween party. I’m sure it will help in making my party more spooky.
