Miniature Avocado Toasts (Party Ready)

Avocado toast is one of the simplest ideas yet makes the most delicious snack or meal. I wanted to make an appetizer-sized avocado toast, so I created mini avocado toasts that are perfect for serving at your next party!

Whenever I’m in the snacking mood, avocados and walnuts are two of my go-to’s! I love that they’re not only delicious but nutritious and have good fats!

I also love to use them in new recipes – like these miniature avocado toasts. I absolutely LOVE mini party appetizers!

Mini Avocado Toasts

I often order avocado toast on a menu when I see it so I’ve enjoyed lots of variations and twists on the dish.

The toasts are often quite large, and then it hit me!

I could create mini avocado toasts topped with chopped walnuts for the ultimate party appetizer or weeknight meal. Plus, it’s ready in MINUTES.

You can scale down any of your favorite toast recipes by using a sliced baguette, toasted, instead of larger bread.

Variations of Miniature Avocado Toasts

  • Create a breakfast avocado toast by adding eggs for a brunch get-together!
  • Feta & Walnut (My favorite)
  • Spicy Avocado Toast (add hot sauce)
  • Hearty Avocado Toast (top with chicken or turkey)
  • Greek Avocado Toast (add feta and black olives)

Once you have the mini avocado toasts, it’s time for the toppings. I chose feta, everything bagel seasoning, and of course – walnuts!

They’re nutritious and offer 4 grams of protein and 2 grams of fiber, and 2.5 grams of omega-3 ALA per ounce. Walnuts are the perfect topping for avocado toast, and you can feel good about what you’re eating!

How to Make Mini Avocado Toast

Making avocado toast is about as simple as it looks. You start with a delicious toasted bread, and I’ve used a baguette so I could make “miniature” sized toasts.

Next, you use a fork to “mush” your avocado and spread it on the toasts.

Add on crumbled feta, chopped walnuts, and a sprinkling of everything bagel seasoning! If you don’t have the seasoning, you can make your own with the list below.

Everything Bagel Seasoning Ingredients

  • Sesame Seeds
  • Poppy Seeds
  • Sea Salt
  • Minced Onion
  • Minced Garlic

Prevent Avocado from Browning

One tip I’ve found to avoid the avocados turning brown is to mix in a little lime juice as you mash it up. The citrus helps prevent the browning! This way, you can prep them before your guests arrive and they’ll still be perfectly delicious!

When choosing your avocados, be sure to choose ripe Hass avocados that have a slight squeeze to them when pressed.

Serve these mini avocado toasts up on a wooden board, tray, or even a cake stand.

They would also be a delicious addition to a charcuterie board by laying out all the ingredients for guests to create their own avocado toast creations.

I like the idea of an Avocado Toast Bar, don’t you think?
