Fall “Acorn Themed” Dinner Party Tablescape

Fall Tablescape

There is something about the cooler air that just puts a skip in my step. Granted…Nashville likes to take its sweet time getting out of the 90s, we have enjoyed a few breezy, cool days lately filled with football, food, and fun.  My talented Mom and I put together this fall tablescape because I love greens, golds, and eggplant purples. They’re so regal and gorgeous.

I found the acorns at a local store and thought they would be perfect as decor! So I filled an apothecary jar with some and hung a few from the trees. Gold and green candles added a golden glow. Leaf dessert plates atop eggplant purple dinner plates and gold chargers made for a very pretty setting.

I made the placecards and tied them onto the acorns. To make them look a bit more rustic, I soaked them in coffee and punched the edges before tying them with raffia. I really like how they turned out and look forward to brewing coffee for more than just caffeine! :)

The small birdcages are one of my favorite elements. Just like the spider one seen in my Pink-O-Ween party, they were just $1 from Michaels. Love that dollar section! Filled with gold leaves and maple cookies, they were perfect for a simple favor. The gold planters had been collecting dust in an old closet so I whipped those out and filled with some foliage and stuck gold glittered pinecones and leaves down in them. I love how they turned out! I should start browsing my closets more often!

I hope this gets you in the mood for gorgeous fall weather! I’m already excited about Thanksgiving – as a party designer, I work about 2 holidays ahead all the time :)  Speaking of Thanksgiving, we have a fabulous design in the works so stay tuned! For those of you who haven’t even entered Halloween mode yet, don’t you worry, we have a fun Witches Dinner Party to share soon!

  12. Just an exquisite fall table. I love the huge acorns. I saw some last year and my friend got them and I didn’t and I have definitely regretted it! I also pinned your cute white chocolate marshmallow pumpkin pops. Hope you get a lot of traffic from those, they are really cute and easy. And I prefer white pumpkins any day!
