Favorite Party Ideas for New Year’s Eve!
New Year’s Eve sort of sneaks up on us, doesn’t it? We’re up to our necks in Christmas and by the time it’s over, there are only a handful of days left to prep for one of my favorite celebrations of the year! NEW YEAR’S EVE! These tips and ideas won’t take forever to recreate, and they’re my favorite ideas for jazzing up your New Year’s Eve party! Not hosting a party? You can at least add a little pizzazz to your TV-watching ambiance with some confetti poppers or clock cookies, right? Yes! Do it!
New Year’s Eve Champagne Cupcakes
Dessert is always first at my parties (*wink*) so let’s start with one of my favorite cupcakes! The cute decorations on top resemble champagne bubbles! Serve up a tray of these champagne cupcakes at your party! GRAB THE RECIPE HERE!
Free New Year’s Eve Print & Tags
Use these free printables to jazz up your NYE! Simply print and frame. As for the tags, they’re perfect for gift tags, wrapping around skewers for mini food flags or even drink stirrers on longer skewers! So many possibilities! GET THE FREE DOWNLOADS HERE.
DIY Confetti Boxes
Now, I highly recommend this little midnight activity to be done outside but by golly, it’s New Year’s Eve so throw some confetti! Find mini boxes at the party store (or online here) and fill with fabulous confetti of your color choice! I love gold, silver, or a fun multi-color! Tie with ribbon and hand out right before the clock strikes 12! Guests can open and toss for a confetti-filled countdown!
New Year’s Eve Party Tablescape
Setting the table for a fabulous New Year’s Eve dinner party?! Choose a bold color scheme like black and white! Make “clock” cookies (or you can buy them online) and set in each place setting for a sweet treat that serves as the perfect table decor! Visit a party store to look for fun party hats in silver (or gold!). I found cute “mini” size hats that are are just too cute! Mine came from Party City, but here are some on Amazon! I was very lucky to find clock plates at HomeGoods a couple of years ago so always be on the hunt for unique items. Add in silver party horns, even for adults! A simple ice bucket with champagne makes a simple centerpiece that’s oh so fitting! Time to sip that bubbly! See more of this party here!

If you love GOLD as much as I do, you might like to set the table with a gilded touch! Also, you don’t have to break out the super fancy china for a chic tablescape. If you’re not hosting a seated dinner party but still want to celebrate in style, set up a bar cart (or side console table) in New Year’s Eve style! Line your cart with festive wrapping paper, add a fun sign (like the printable above) and of course – champagne! New Year’s Eve Midnight Snack
Send guests off with a midnight snack! I love the idea of packaging up mini muffins or mini cinnamon buns for an early breakfast! Simply package a few in a cellophane bag tucked down in a plastic champagne or cocktail glass from the party store and hand one to guests as they leave. Cute + simple.
