Set Your Holiday Table with Glitz & Glam!

It’s time I just admit my love affair with all things shimmery. And if the holidays aren’t the perfect occasion for some sparkle, well then heaven help me. So while I’m well aware most of us are still eating our children’s Halloween candy with no thought to the fact that Christmas is 7 weeks! On Dasher on Dancer on Prancer…..ok, back to the glitz and glam. Whether you’re hosting friends for an intimate holiday dinner party or setting the holiday table for a delicious Christmas Eve spread, I wanted to share a few simple tips to make your tablescape look extra special.

My new favorite tip, ornaments! They’re not just for hanging on the tree anymore. Topping each place setting with a gorgeous ornament is one of my favorite ways to both add extra sparkle and glam to your holiday table but also give each guest a unique favor to take home! I love finding alternate uses for items, especially around the holidays. I love rustic holiday looks, glam holiday styles, the list goes on. So if I find myself with a more rustic holiday tree but I want to incorporate sparkle too, then I use those ornaments on my tablescape for a different aesthetic. Plus, one can never have too many ornaments. I’ve also been using clusters of gorgeous red and gold ornaments as decorations in my large greenery swag so stay tuned for those pics! Another clever way to use ornaments for the holidays? Create a festive table runner by simple stringing ornaments onto a ribbon and positioning down the center of your table. Group a variety of different ornament styles and colors. Tuck in a little fresh holly and twirl around a few strands of fairy string lights (my new obsession). This is a centerpiece you can pull together in a matter of minutes yet it truly makes a stunning display.

The stunning details on these mixed metal ornaments are jaw-dropping. They are truly miniature works of art. I also have the Parisian Christmas set that I look forward to using throughout the house from the Christmas tree to the swag and garland. I’m certainly going to look forward to pulling these out year after year and ultimately passing them on to my own little hostess in training, Blakely!
