DIY Multi Colored Tissue Garland!
I hoard tissue paper. Not because I have to color coordinate my gift bags… okay… well, yes, I do have to do that. But more than that, I just love crafting with it! It is one of my go-to’s when planning decorations for a party. Cheap, endlessly usable, and I can find just the right color every time. So, don’t ever feel bad when you throw in an extra pack or two of tissue paper at the store just because it’s pretty.
One pretty thing you can make with tissue paper? This adorable Multi Colored Tissue Garland. This is a great way to incorporate a fun color palette at your event. You can mix and match all the colors in just one beautiful string of garland.
To make the garland you will need:
Different colors of tissue paper
String
Scissors
Stapler
Cut all of tissue paper down to 4 inches by 8 inches sheets. Take one sheet of each color and fold them in half. On one folded sheet, trim 1/4 inch off the bottom. On another sheet, trim 1/2 inch off the bottom. On a third sheet, trim 3/4 inch off the bottom. Stack the four sheets together, the biggest on the bottom with the shortest at the top. Cut fringe in the stacked tissue sheets. String your tissue garland onto the string. Staple the tissue paper through all four sheets, just under the string. Repeat the steps until you have created all the garland you want.
While this garland would be perfect for almost any celebration, I am hoping to get outside and plan one last summer fiesta before the autumn weather rolls in. Doesn’t it just make such a fun playful garland? Perfect for a party!
