Host a Poolside Summer Celebration
Savoring these last few weeks of summer? It’s time to finish the season with one final hurrah! I’m sharing my recent poolside summer celebration full of pops of color and casual style. Whether you’re throwing the party of all parties to celebrate the end of summer poolside, beachside, lakeside, or just on the patio, you can follow suit and host a stylish soiree for your friends. Ready? Let’s chat details…
First off, I kept it cool and casual with outdoor-ready sips. I’m talking about Barefoot Refresh Spritzers (in Summer Red and Crisp White). They’re the perfect tablescape accompaniment not only for sipping but also for pops of color that help set the color scheme for my party table. They’re made in the classic spritzer style so they’re flavorful, light, and lively! Plus, the single- serve cans are perfect for poolside soirees (no broken glass at this party). My fave? It’s hard to pick, I love them both, but I’ve found myself grabbing a can of the Crisp White more than once this week ;) I alternated the magenta and lime hues on my tablescape.
Layering plates is one of my favorite tips for giving your tablescape a little fancy boost. Even if you’re just serving grilled favorites alongside a salad, that extra salad plate adds a finishing touch to each place setting. I added a third dessert plate on top with a colorful rim to match my Barefoot Refresh Spritzers.
My casual white farm table was the perfect base when paired with a colorful runner across the center for an extra pop of purple and magenta hues. Down the center I set beautiful Moroccan-inspired lanterns with low arrangements of flowers that fit perfectly with the magenta hues. You can often find similar lanterns at home stores, and they serve as both interior decor as well as tabletop centerpieces! Be sure to fill them with candles or votives so you can create a glowing ambiance as the sun goes down!
Green banana leaf appetizer plates scattered the table alongside a shell bowl of berry salad! Mini martini glasses held a delicious bean salad. After grilled chicken and vegetables, guests enjoyed simple berry tarts from my favorite bakery. That’s right, you don’t have to be a hero hostess and make every single thing from scratch. One of my favorite entertaining tips is focusing on the party table and letting your favorite bakery make an item or two. Maybe you whip up a salad and appetizer while they do the dessert. This makes entertaining much easier when you’ve got a big crowd joining you for your summer soiree!
There you have it! I hope you’re inspired to throw a summer fling that’s both casual and chic. So grab a festive straw, a can of Barefoot Refresh Spritzer, and start your invite list — it’s time to throw a party! On the go? Stay tuned for some festive party on the go tips coming soon!
