Aqua + Orange Baby Shower

When How Fab’s Kara Kull announced she was expecting her first child, it was the perfect reason to come together and celebrate. Together with Kara, Erin Frank of Host-It Notes, Jacin Fitzgerald of Lovely Little Details and Amanda Reapsummer of One True Love Vintage Rentals combined forces to create an aqua and orange inspired baby shower shoot full of vintage and whimsical touches.

There aren’t enough dazzling words to describe the loveliness of this baby shower (it’s my new favorite) so sit back and enjoy these gorgeous images….

Gavin of Gavin Farrington Photography perfectly captured the look of the room. The dessert table served up plenty of sweet bites including aqua and orange macarons, orange frosted cupcakes, powdered sugar donuts and a homemade peach tart. For refreshments there were mimosas for the group and classic orange cream soda for the mom-to-be.

Inspiration for the event came from the gorgeous ruffled curtains Kara purchased for the baby’s room and a quirky owl cookie jar. From there the color scheme ranged from from baby blue to teal to aqua plus clementine orange. Handmade touches from Erin of Host-It Notes included blue and orange bunting, a ruffled cake stand skirt, and hand-sewn stuffed owls. Vases, mason jars, and a turquoise suitcase were supplied by One True Love Vintage Rentals. Orange ranunculus, tulips and baby’s breath floral arrangements were created by Lovely Little Details. The guest of honor, Kara, hand-dipped blue and orange frosted animal crackers to give as favors.
