Whimsical Baby Shower
Whimsical Baby Shower~ Ruby & Willow
Words cannot express how delighted I was to find this submission in my email from Kate Holland (all the way over in New Zealand!) of Ruby & Willow and Magnolia Rouge. Kate designed, styled, and hosted this whimsical baby shower for her best friend. Kate shared, “When she told me she was expecting I just knew this was my chance to style a fun baby shower for her… and knowing she would give me free reign made it all the more enticing! I wanted to do something a little different from the usual baby colours we always see, so I opted for a more modern, whimsical look.”
Kate did NOT disappoint. This darling shower is full of so many modern, chic elements from the coordinating stripe pattern and flower motif to the “onesie” bunting. Kate said, “The aesthetic all developed once I had designed the invitation with a slightly folk art motif, combined with modern stripes.” You see, Kate also designed the invitations. She appreciates details, adores typography, and has mastered the art of whimsical design. Visit Ruby & Willow to see more of her spectacular work. It’ll make your jaw drop.
You probably stared at the decadent cake for more than a few seconds, right? I did the same thing. Unbelievable. Kate enlisted the talents of Judit Meron from Artisan Cakes who created all the desserts to coordinate beautifully with the invitation design, and Greta Kenyon from Vela Images to capture it all beautifully!
