Dr. Seuss Birthday Party on a Budget!
Let’s face it, times are tight but your little one’s birthday party doesn’t have to look that way! A few easy tips and you’ll be on  your way to hosting a SEUSSTASTIC Dr. Seuss Cat-in-the-Hat Birthday Party! As seen on the uber popular + chic site, Lil Sugar, our Dr. Seuss styled birthday party was created to give you inspiration + ideas for hosting your own party, Seuss style of course!
First up in our helpful tips is the basics of your table. Dr. Seuss has a fabric line found in most fabric stores, however, it’ll cost you. Instead we chose a non-brand name red + white stripe to simulate that Seussical “look” for less! Next, we discovered the teaching supply section of Michaels where we found lots of Dr. Seuss branded items for classrooms. Well, these are GREAT for parties too! We even found an inexpensive poster of Cat in the Hat that we cut out to make a perfect “photo prop” for kids to take pictures with at the party!
Dr. Seuss pinwheels were a fun find in the craft store too! You could easily make these with scrapbook paper too! They were the perfect topper for yellow cupcakes decorated with a swedish fish for that “one fish two fish” rhyme!Â
The talented Bee’s Knee’s Creative made us CAT IN THE HAT COOKIES that were almost too cute to eat! But, we did, and they were delish! As seen below, we topped white vases with paper red/white striped hats for dramatic table decor.
Our little prop assistant, Henry, is seen below. He did a little drive by swipe of some of our props during the shoot. Good thing he’s so cute! Design + Styling by Phronsie + Courtney Dial of Pizzazzerie | Photography by Courtney Dial
