Hop into Spring Garden Party!!
Who is ready for SPRING?! With the weather in the 60s and 70s (yes, 70s!!) this month, Nashville is already feeling like spring! So it’s almost time to host outdoor dinner parties like this cute SPRING GARDEN PARTY designed by Katie Pethuyne of Lucky Penny Events. This is a 6th birthday party but I easily see inspiration for all types of spring parties, backyard dinners, and Easter too!
The birthday girl requested a party revolving around GARDENING – how perfect for spring! Terra cotta pots were painted white, turned up-side-down, and topped with painted saucers to create a unique cupcake stand for the centerpiece. Simple mason jars were filled with pink lemonade, a favorite of the birthday girl, and wrapped in coordinating ribbons with striped straws.
For the candy bar, terra cotta pots held the delicious treats and garden spades were used to dish out each guest’s favorite item. Guests could fill their craft paper gift bag to the brim with goodies to take home with them. Icing piping bags were filled with candy orange slices and topped with a green bow and favor tag to resemble a carrot for extra cute favors. A soft yellow watering can was filled with daisy pens for each guest to write a note to Emma for her to keep in a pink photo album and remember her 6th birthday celebration. The backdrop was created using colorful ribbon to hang hand painted bird houses, brightly colored gerber daisies, and sparkly butterflies.
