Modern Alphabet First Birthday

modern green and blue alphabet first birthday for boy
Finding a clever boy’s birthday theme can be a little tricky but Samantha of Papermints WOW’d us with this modern alphabet first birthday party for her son, Cameron! In vibrant blues and greens with accents of orange, she created a sweet treats display with clever paper goods that she created herself!  The source of inspiration came from her son’s initials, “Cc“. The school alphabet theme seemed like the perfect choice. She combined traditional alphabet lettering with outlined typography to give it a fresh, modern look for the invitations, candy labels, and all the printed partyware.

The invitation heading Cc who’s turning One” was carried throughout the party on it’s custom cupcake toppers and the sweet party favor bags. Samantha shared more party details with us, “Miriam of Glam Candies did a fabulous job helping me with all the sweet treat selections highlighting the letter “C” from: Cameron’s Chocolate Chip Cookies, Cookie pops, Chocolate Cupcakes, Caramel popcorn, rock Candy, and gummy race Cars.  Esther of Batch from Scratch baked us their signature chocolate chip cookies, which I saved a bag or two for myself, and the monogram “C” cookie pops, which were a big hit with all the kids!”

More details from Samantha: “We also had a crafting table filled with fun coloring pages, stickers, glitter markers, and DIY Christmas ornaments, which turned out to be the perfect activity, since his birthday was in late November. At the end of the evening, the kids got to take home their own monogrammed goodie boxes, filled with a large box of Crayola Crayon’s and Coloring Pages Cup to carry out their crafting fun!
We all had the most amazing time at my son’s 1st birthday party and Cameron had such a blast trying out all the yummy treats.”

  1. This is the cutest little party. I love the colors. I bet they were even more beautiful up close. You have the best party posts, Courtney! xo

  2. It is such a pleasure to discover Pizzazzerie and Papermints Printables. Not only do I enjoy reading Courtney’s comments and analysis of Samantha’s artistic presentation, but I also appreciate Samantha’s exceptional creativity.

The playful theme of Cameron’s birthday party, “Cc who’s turning One,” is an apt paronomasia. The “Cc,” as Courtney reveals, stands for the many alliterated words describing actual goodies and activities at the party: Cameron, chocolate chip, cookies, cupcakes, candy, car, Crayola, Crayon, Coloring…etc. Oh, what fun! In addition, I also read the theme as “See who’s turning One” as well as “Cameron Chu, who’s turning One.” Samantha of Papermints Printables can truly turn a child’s birthday party into a fun, meaningful, learning experience.
