Country Baby Shower

country themed baby shower

It might be that I was born in Texas and now live in Nashville, but I have a huge love for country-themed parties! This baby shower by Michelle of Intrigue Design Studio/CrazyforDesign is the perfect way to celebrate a new baby in my opinion! From the mini pie pops (a fave!) to the rustic invitation, Michelle didn’t miss a beat! She said that the expectant mother loves the country style of red bandannas and blue jeans so it was only fitting for an all-out country themed baby shower!…. More details below!

Michelle used burlap for the runners and backdrops and designed all the graphics + paper goodies! Everything from invitations and banners to buffet cards and popcorn cones. She also made most of the food including including the mini pies, apple pie pops, cheesecake pops, chocolate pretzels and cookies.  Strawberries are in season this time of year so that was what she  filled the little wagon with in the center of the sweets table. Michelle said, “the favors included a 4″ chocolate horseshoe (made by a friend) and a large star sugar cookie that I made, all tucked into a burlap bag with a tag I sewed on the front. I also stamped the paper plates and the pie forks for an extra fun touch”.

Not only was there a sweets table but a savory one too! She made mini spicy quiche and chili in mini bread bowls. Other items included boiled peanuts (a southern favorite), deviled eggs, veggies and chips and salsa.

Michelle shared even more fun details about the party: “In addition to choosing the games and advising on the order of events for the shower, I created advice cards with advice topics already on them for guests to fill out throughout the shower. I strung rope onto some bamboo sticks that I put into sand filled tins. The advice “line” was the backdrop for the beverage table. At the end of the shower the cards would be put into a mini photo album and given to the guest of honor.”
