Woodland Fairy Party
Woodland Fairy Party
When Gwynn of Gwynn Wasson Designs shared with me this Woodland Fairy Party, I was blown away! I love how Gwynn used a single photo as inspiration for the entire party! Everything from the wooden bowls to the moss table is so realistic and well done! Hope you enjoy!
Gwynn writes, “For this party, I mulled over the word “tablescape” a lot. I wanted the table to feel like a landscape. Like a forest floor. Like the birch forest we were using for inspiration. I knew that we wouldn’t have any of the sparkling yellow sunbeams to highlight our table. So as a substitute, I created a forsythia tree (tutorial coming soon!) to add a bright, golden cheeriness to our “landscape”. I then layered in multiple types of moss to build our forest floor and used birch logs as cupcake stands…”
I love the various mosses used to build up the “landscape” table. It is beautiful and so realistic. She used chocolate chip meringues to look like bird’s eggs in a nest which I adore! Everything was perfectly fit to the party including the edible toadstools. And the neatest part? All the fairies in attendance were given their own wings, wands, and tutus!
