Chocolate Themed Brunch & Tablescape
What’s better than hosting brunch for your friends? Hosting a chocolate themed brunch for your friends! Read on for tips and inspiration…
When most of us entertain friends at our home, it tends to be evening or afternoon occasions, but I’m making it my mission to bring back entertaining for brunch. Sure, I love heading out to eat for brunch, but it’s one of my favorite meals for at-home entertaining too. Combine that with chocolate-themed breakfast foods, and I can already hear the door bell ringing!
Chocolate-Themed Brunch Inspiration
This chocolate themed brunch was born out of my love affair with the new LINDOR 70% Extra Dark Truffle from Lindt. Friends. Trust me. It’s incredible! It deserved its own party. It’s time we treat ourselves, right? Chocolate + Friends = Dynamite! The flavor is richer, bolder, and totally worthy of a self-indulgent moment.
Instead of the typical bright and vibrant colors, I opted for a colorful yet muted colorway. I wanted the tablescape to feel sophisticated yet approachable.
A variety of burgundy, red, magenta, and purple flowers helped do the trick. I loved the botanical vibe it was creating so I carried it out with fern and small palm leaves throughout.
This is such an easy tablescape idea to recreate. Simply use your own favorite greenery stems between plates or down the center of the table as a runner of sorts!
I’ve mentioned this before, but use extra blooms or greenery to decorate your larger platters and serving trays. You’ll feel extra fancy!
Simple matte black plates atop white rimmed dinner plates created the perfect setting. Black and gold flatware combined quite nicely with the packaging on our “guest of honor” – the LINDOR 70% Extra Dark Truffle.
I adore this flatware and have it in white and gold as well. Is flatware hoarding a thing? I didn’t try to be too matchy-matchy with my place settings.
I added in a light peachy pink glassware for a pop of color. I encourage you to just “play” with the sets you have until you find a combination that you love!
I printed simple menus and added a fun quote for the occasion to each plate. I love to place something on plates at my parties, whether it’s a favor or a little “something” to set the mood. Seeing as this was a chocolate themed brunch, “I believe in chocolate for breakfast” was oh so fitting.
Chocolate Themed Brunch Menu
Keeping the menu on point with sophisticated chocolate favorites, I included:
- café mocha lattes
- chocolate swirl brioche
- dark chocolate granola
- yogurt and fruit parfaits
- mini chocolate crepes
- toast with cocoa drizzle.
Make Your Own Chocolate Granola
A “sweet” tip for the granola, make your own! Simply combine your favorite granola with chopped LINDOR 70% Truffles. It’s the perfect combination of flavors.
This LINDOR 70% has warm notes of roasted nuts, cocoa, and vanilla. Plus, that truffle filling is unbelievably delicious.
This dark chocolate granola would also make a very sweet favor for guests. Just fill a small glass jar with the granola, tie with a ribbon, and ta-da! It’s these little details that truly make a guest feel special in your home.
I hope you’re inspired to not only make a mad dash to grab some LINDOR 70% Extra Dark truffles (trust me), but also host a gorgeous chocolate-themed affair.
Whether it’s a brunch like I chose (Mother’s Day is right around the corner, hint hint) or another occasion, I hope you’ll incorporate a few of these tips to help you entertain in style!
