Party Feature: Preppy Lemon Bridal Shower

Hosting a bridal shower soon? I’m so excited to feature this darling “Preppy Lemon” Bridal Shower styled by Kenna O’Brien of Miss Party Mom, this bridal shower is absolutely filled to the brim with sweet touches from an Italian Soda Bar to sweet lemon sugar cookies and everything cute in between. I particularly adore the mini bud vase favors (I love the labels and yellow bows)! The bright and cheery color scheme of lemon yellow, blue and pink is perfect for a party! The guests were even encouraged to wear yellow to match the decor! Read on for more details + lots of gorgeous party pictures…

I’m tickled to have Kenna here to share some insight into the inspiration + pretty party details!

“My beautiful friend Bri radiates a “preppy modern” style- making her bridal shower a fun & cheery one for me to design. I started with the “Preppy Lemon” theme in mind and then searched high and low for the perfect printables to go with my vision.

I co-hosted this shower with the bride-to-be’s mother and soon-to-be mother-in-law, they picked a great venue for us, The Lakeview Country Club in Santa Maria, Ca… It was full of natural light and open space. These two ladies provided all of the yummy finger food and I focused on the dessert table and games… What I do best!

I partnered with Party Pail, Inc. for the backdrop design as they provided me with all of the white fans (and most of my paper goods)! During the shower we played a Bride/Groom guessing game where Bri had to put a piece of gum in her mouth (and blow a bubble!) for every wrong answer… Let’s just say she blew a few bubbles!

For our other game, “The Panty Drawer”, I sent an insert with the shower invite asking guests to bring a pair of panties for Bri that best represented themselves! (I scored a free nightstand the week before her shower which was the PERFECT prop for the guests to place the panties in!) Bri’s goal was to pull a pair of panties from the drawer and guess who brought them! For every wrong answer the guest who actually brought the panties got to add a beautiful “tp” dress to her current white dress! This was tons of fun with lots of laughs… Bri is a great sport and wore her new dress with pride…

To top off the look of the shower, I asked each of the bridesmaids to wear a form of yellow because I some fun photos in mind! The entire shower turned out exactly as I envisioned and my photographer– as always- captured some fantastic images from our day.
