Birthday Brunch Bar Cart Party
Hosting a birthday celebration? You’ve come to the right place for lots of party inspiration! I teamed up with Simply Juice Drinks for the launch of their 3 new flavors (Fruit Punch + Mixed Berry + Tropical Punch) and styled a birthday brunch bar cart party. I’ve showcased my favorite food pairings, a sweet alternative to a birthday cake, and mini mimosas so cute that you’ll want to serve them at every party! Read on for more pictures and the details…

Now let’s talk a bit about my favorite food pairings and recipe ideas. I wanted to serve fruit at the brunch but with a little twist. I combined ½ cup champagne with ½ cup Simply Mixed Berry to create a delicious glaze dressing for the mini mixed berry cups. Tossing the fruit with the glaze and filling up the cups was oh so easy and delicious.Since there was lots of sweetness being served up, the mini quiches are a great pairing for the juice drinks. I recommend having a savory food or two. Other ideas include mini cheese croissants or mini ham biscuits.
The juice drinks are absolutely fabulous on their own but since it’s a birthday party, we had to serve up a cocktail. Brunch is the perfect time to enjoy mimosas but move over orange juice, Mixed Berry Mimosas are my new favorite! Combine equal parts dry champagne with Simply Mixed Berry and add a splash of triple sec for a delicious beverage. For a fun serving idea, swap out traditional champagne flutes for mini glasses. Check your party stores for mini serving ware. Cut fun straws down to size and serve on a coordinating cake stand for the perfect cocktail for greeting party guests!
Since we’re celebrating before noon, a traditional birthday cake just doesn’t fit the bill. Use a large cake stand as a base for a donut cake! Stack your favorite donuts and garnish with donut holes. Add sprinkles and dramatically tall tapered birthday candles for a fabulously festive celebration.
Time for decorations! A bar cart is a wonderful alternative to a larger party table or seated party setting. I layered my bar cart with a festive wrapping paper and framed “Birthday Brunch” in a fun gold frame. Lots of balloons add party flair and simple favor bags with “best day ever” messaging are the perfect take-home for guests. Keep decor all about the food and drinks! Add in polka dot straws and plate all your food pairings on cake stands for added height and decoration!

I like this idea and being breakfast time I sure wish I had a cup of the mixed berry juice….they do have good juice. Oh and I love the idea of using wrapping paper to decorate your part. I have been experimenting with using things around the house for a real DIY party and on a budget!

This is exactly what I am looking for to help my daughter celebrate her 21st birthday with our family! Love the idea of using Simply Juice for mimosas! Can I ask where you got the “Cheers my dears” cups for the fruit? And are you sharing your recipe for the glaze you made to go over the fruit? Thanks so much! Angi
Hi Angi! I had the “Cheers My Dears” cups on hand, and I think maybe Sucre Shop on Etsy? That’s a guess. I don’t recall the fruit glaze as I had my mother in town who helped with that. But I’ll try to ask her!
