Hooray for fall! As you know, I’ve been quite excited about the new season and ready for cooler temperatures! I’m an iced beverage kind of girl in the heat of the summer but once those temps drop; it’s time for a warm, cozy drink! You too? Oh, good, you’re in the right place! BECAUSE September 29th is National Coffee Day. I know, coffee should be celebrated 365 days of the year.  I feel you, moms! Funny side story: When I was in the hospital waiting for Blakely’s arrival, I had 18 hours to kill so while my husband watched the Masters, I googled “national holidays” to see what food or drink day she would be born on. It turned out to be National Peach Cobbler Day! That led me to search my own birthday. And guess what? It’s National Caffeinated Beverage Day! It’s like it all makes sense seeing as I don’t function without a fair amount of caffeine in my system. My birthday is November 19th, by the way. What national food or drink day were YOU born on?

I’ve had the chance to try out the Keurig® K575 brewer, and I love it! It’s consistently delicious and ready at the touch of a button. It includes an 80 oz. reservoir, strength and temperature control, and a touch color display! I can also brew both single cups with K-Cup® pods and four-cup K-Carafe pods® for those really crazy days. You know what I’m talking about!

Another little tidbit! One thing I love about the K575 brewer is that it has the ability to dispense hot water. I find this so helpful for making oatmeal, noodles, etc. Anything that can help save a couple of minutes in the day is a win by me!

Caramel Vanilla Cream Cafe au Lait

• 1 Green Mountain Coffee® Caramel Vanilla Cream K-Cup pod®, brewed
• 1 cup steamed milk
• whipped cream + caramel syrup (optional)

Combine coffee and milk. Top with whipped cream and caramel syrup. Enjoy! Sip sip, hooray.
