Spring Craft Party!
Spring has sprung! Enjoying outdoors, hosting spring parties, and sipping on refreshing drinks is so much more fun than being cooped up in the cold weather, don’t ya think? Sweet Vanessa of See Vanessa Craft (who I had the lovely pleasure of meeting at my Phoenix book signing) shared her SPRING CRAFT PARTY – and we love it! Grab your girlfriends, serve up some desserts + wine, and craft away? Sounds right down my alley! She also just posted this DIY tutorial on the Spring Craft Banner. Banners and wreaths you can save from year-to-year are fab…as is the rest of this darling craft party… check it out!
“I recently hosted a backyard spring craft party for my friends. We made spring wreaths and chatted over wine and desserts (healthy desserts included). I went with a pink, yellow, green and white plaid theme with doily accents throughout. Mason jars and candle hurricanes were decorated with doilies, tied together with hemp string. I found the picket fence at my local hardware store and thought it made the perfect backdrop for the giant gardener Easter bunny I found at Home Goods. I made the spring bunting sign and felt rose topiaries. Christmas lights and candles illuminated the backyard, which made for the perfect party ambiance.
The dessert table included chocolate covered oreos, chocolate covered pretzels, chocolate bunny suckers, plaid bunny cookies, vanilla meringue bites and chocolate cupcakes topped with edible roses. I offered “healthy cupcakes”, which consisted of fruit in pretty pink baking cups topped with a ribbon flag. I also made mini carrot patches in tiny terracotta pots, which were baby carrots topped with parsley in hummus (thanks to Taste and Tell for the idea).” – Vanessa of See Vanessa Craft
