Party Hues: Rose Quartz and Serenity Color Palette
In case you missed it, Pantone put out the color of the year for 2016! The big news is that it wasn’t just one color, there are two – Rose Quartz and Serenity! Yes, they bring up instant baby shower thoughts, but these hues are so pretty for all types of celebrations from backyard dinner parties to weddings. I love how they pair so elegantly with a rustic wood table as well as a floral tea party design. They’re as versatile as they are beautiful. I’ve rounded up some beautiful imagery to inspire you to incorporate these colors of the year into your parties this year!
Ideas for incorporating Rose Quarts + Serenity into your celebrations…
- Desserts are a wonderful way to add pops of color to your party tables. You can stick with creams and whites for the tableware and allow the treats to let the colors shine. Think rose colored frosting or light blue macarons. These are beautiful on a cake stand for decor or served in little treat boxes as favors.
- Flowers! Of course flowers are a natural way to decorate your parties with color. Look for soft pale pink roses, peonies, and other blooms. Place in white or light vases (or even gold)!
- Ribbons, cocktail napkins, straws, and place cards are another place to allow these colors to shine through! Visit the craft store, pull up this post, and match the colors so you have the perfect embellishments for your next celebration. You can also print off your own paper goods and match the colors exactly.
I’ve also rounded up some pretty party items below in this year’s gorgeous Rose Quartz and Serenity hues! I’m ready to throw a PARTY now!

I too, was so excited to see pantone’s color(s) of the year! The Serenity hue of blue is a favorite of mine. I design my own romantic home/floral fabrics, with a shop on Spoonflower and about half of my 560 fabrics and wallpapers are in that exact shade of blue! I call it pale blueberry. I’m slowly decorating my house in it.
The quartz pink is very similar to my peony pink I design with, too!
Such lovely photos you chose – the two really do go well together!
And now I’d love to have tea…
Such an amazing and joyful mix of colors in a romantic setting
This looks amazing, very inspiring, thank you !
