Christmas Cards | Our 2018 Card!

Pizzazzerie Christmas Card Minted

Hey friends! Let me tell you. My hallways are riddled with ornaments that my daughter is “unboxing” (thank the Lord for unbreakable ornaments). I have post-it notes everywhere for Thanksgiving dishes to make. We leave town for Disney World in a week. My calendar is upside down on my desk because I’m afraid to look at it. HOWEVER, I have our Christmas cards finished from Minted and I ADORE THEM! :)

Traditionally, I get the family all coordinated (including the dog) for a family photo session (see last year’s card). This fall, however, was a bit chaotic for me. I mentioned parts of this on Instagram, but I suffered an early miscarriage followed by emergency surgery in September for an ectopic pregnancy where I lost my fallopian tube and another baby. Yep, twins. Now, I don’t want this post to get all sad, I am feeling wonderful now and so thankful for my sweet little family and the upcoming holidays. I mention it to say that life happens. Coralling my fam together for holiday photos just didn’t happen this year. And that is OKAY by me! I grabbed my camera one afternoon, snapped a picture of our sweet little angel, and I love how it turned out.

So if the thought of coordinated outfits, bribing toddlers to smile, and hoping you just “get one photo where everyone’s eyes are open” doesn’t sound appealing, you can still have gorgeous holiday cards. Grab your camera (heck, even your phone) and snap the kids outside. Or use a picture from earlier in the year. You’re allowed! ;)

Minted’s holiday cards are gorgeous. We use them every single year. I love the little customizations you can make – hello, gold foil! Plus, you can get recipient addressing so you’re only slapping a stamp on it and mailing. So easy, and easy during the holidays is my absolute favorite. Life throws us curveballs, so accept a little help now and then. It will take me 5 minutes to add stamps and mail Christmas cards this year, and for that I am so thankful!

I chose this Merry Swirling card that I adore! You can find all their holiday cards here. Tip – Use the “Find it Fast” feature to easily scan ALL their cards with your chosen picture already placed in!

I hope I’ve inspired you to go order holiday cards! It doesn’t have to be a big to-do. Grab your favorite pic (even if it’s just the dog this year) and order away! You’ll love looking back at all your holiday cards from years past every single Christmas. It’s Blakely’s favorite thing to do each year.

XO,
Courtney
