Football Pastry Sliders for the Big Game!
Can you believe the BIG GAME is just next weekend? It’s not a Super Bowl without some snacks, right? I love sliders because they’re small and easy to eat for a crowd. I decided to make football-shaped sliders, and it is super easy! You just use Pepperidge Farm Puff Pastry as the “buns”! So check out the step-by-step pictures and recipe below. No matter WHO you are rooting for, your guests (whether just family or a whole host of friends) will LOVE these easy and delicious sliders!

You simply fold out a puff pastry sheet (thawed). Use a football (or oval) shaped cutter to create mini football shapes. Each football shape will be cut in half after baking so you will have one “slider bun” per football shape! I was able to cut out 12 footballs per 1 sheet of puff pastry! Use the same cutter for sliced cheese. Roma tomatoes provide a perfect oval shape when sliced so I chose those! I also added in red onion and arugula. You can choose your favorite slider topping or create a “slider bar” for your guests with all the fixin’s! Find the full recipe below!
When making the actual beef sliders, use the cookie cutter (be sure to wash after handling) in the hamburger meat to create football shapes! It’s that easy. Then – assemble!

Mini pizzas would be the way I would go. You can use different toppings, everyone loves pizza, and it makes for an awesome finger food. The possibilities are endless.
Why, I would make these of course! We are going to a SB party…this may be just what I will bring! Thanks.
I would use Puff Pastry to create some adorable little Football shaped philly cheese steak pockets! Yum! :)
I’d use them to make a version of calzones. Make it pulled pork style with pulled pork, BBQ sauce, cabbage (to resemble the cole slaw and give it a crunch), maybe some cheese. Yum!
I would totally use the Puff Pastry to make some crisp cheesy palmiers, football shaped of course! Yum
I would use puff pastry for the Big Game for something savory and something sweet! I’d love to make a Napoleon with raspberry and lemon. Or some turnovers! And my husband would want puff pastry pizzas or spanikopita!
How fun! I would use the Puff Pastry to create a football version of the Vietnamese sandwich called Banh Mi. :)
I’d make football shaped Bourbon Bacon Date Popper Pillows! Love your sliders!
I would use Puff Pastry to make Chicken Biscuits with mini chicken bites! In football shapes of course!
