My trip to the Hershey’s HQ!
You might have seen my tweets + instagrams a couple of weeks ago about my trip to HERSHEY’S HEADQUARTERS. Yes, it was as sweet as you can imagine. Yes, there is chocolate everywhere. Heaven, really. I was so lucky to be asked along with 11 other bloggers to be a part of the “baker’s dozen” for Hershey’s. We are showcased here on the Hershey’s Kitchen website!
My trip started off with time at Chocolate World which was fabulous. There was a HUGE gingerbread house made out of all Hershey candies. Then we shopped around at the sweet treats – found the largest Hershey bar with Cookies & Cups! We ate some yummies too, of course! We visited the Hershey lab and got to taste test chocolates from around the world (it was crazy how different they all tasted).
We also got to … drumroll please…. MAKE OUR OWN CANDY BAR. I about died. This was definitely one of the highlights of the trip for me. Who wouldn’t want to get creative in the Hershey kitchens concocting sweet goodies? I made a milk chocolate bar with almonds, butter toffee crunchies, and pretzel bits. Yum + YUM! It was delish. Stay tuned for an upcoming post on how YOU can make your own candy bar at home!
The next day was filming + photographing our projects for Hershey’s Kitchen website. We got all dolled up (yay hair + makeup) and filmed a fun video on making sweet treats with candy so stay tuned for that. I’ll post the link when it’s live. I also got to see their prop room + all their test kitchens. It was like Santa’s workshop basically – sweet Hershey bakers running around everywhere whipping up deliciousness. Here are some snapshots from the afternoon at the Hershey Test Kitchens!
It was such a fantastic trip, and I’m so lucky to have gotten to participate. Here’s who I got to hang out with too (which was SO much fun)!
