New Year’s Eve Dinner Party
New Year’s Eve is one of my FAVORITE holidays to celebrate. If you’re wanting to host a dinner party, New Year’s Eve is the perfect opportunity. Everyone wants to see friends after the holidays, people are tired of staying at home, and it’s often too crowded to go out to dinner that evening. Host your friends for a glitzy New Year’s Eve dinner party, complete with my favorite…Lindt Chocolate!
I love adding lots of metallic sparkle touches to my New Year’s gatherings, and I hope you’re inspired to throw your own party to ring in the new year in style. I included LINDOR White Chocolate Truffles and lots of mini plates of Lindt chocolates throughout. You could use any type of tray or cake stand as well. Every guest had chocolate and champagne within arm’s reach…my kind of New Year’s celebration!
If you follow me on Instagram, you know I love LINDOR truffles and the white chocolate is absolute perfect for New Year’s Eve. The gold wrappers are so festive and match the theme perfectly. I also love displaying the assorted gourmet truffles for guests as well. Every party needs some fancy chocolate!
My first tip is deciding on a “color scheme” even if it’s just black along with metallic silver and gold touches. It’s perfect for New Year’s Eve! I used a black tablecloth, simple white plates, and lots of gold and silver. I added a silver table runner as well.
For that glowing ambiance, I added a dozen black taper candles in brass candlestick holders. I love this idea! You can recreate it with any color candle, and adds the most gorgeous lighting for any dinner party. It’s also very quick to pull together, and doesn’t require you worrying about keeping flowers fresh leading up to the party!
Even adults love a few party touches so party hats and horns were at each place setting. I tied gold and black calligraphy tags around the horns to serve as place cards. It’s these little touches that make a tablescape party perfect! I also added giant silver bells to each napkin with a “Ring In The New Year” tag for guests to jingle jangle when the clock strikes midnight!
Down the center of your table, you can get creative with a few extra party horns, silver ornaments, twinkle lights, and little clocks for the New Year’s Eve theme. Twirl silver or gold ribbon for a festive touch.
Rather than confetti, we opted for the LINDOR White Chocolate Truffles. MUCH more delicious and easier cleanup. ;) The centers are melt-in-your-mouth delicious and one of my favorite party details!
I hope you’re inspired to ring in the new year in the sweetest way possible… a chocolate party, of course! I’ll be enjoying champagne, dinner with friends, and Lindt Chocolate! Here’s to 2019!
