Festive Christmas Table Decorations

Inspiration for your Christmas table decorations to set a festive holiday tablescape!

Christmas Table Decorations

Tis the season, and I had to share more Christmas table decorations with y’all! I love so many different styles and designs that I couldn’t pick just one this year. If you missed yesterday’s post, check out my gold and white christmas table here. Today is all about PLAID! I’m mad for plaid, you could say!

Christmas Table Decorations

Christmas to me is sitting around a holiday table with our family and loved ones enjoying our favorite Christmas party food. I love to style tablescapes because it’s truly the setting we enjoy for making these memories. Hopefully, you’ll be inspired to add a little pizzazz to your own holiday table this year! Read on for some of my favorite tips…

Plaid Christmas Table Decorations

I started out with a festive plaid tablecloth and topped it with rattan woven chargers. I wanted to share a Christmas table that was festive and fun but not too formal. So many of us have little ones at home and want a holiday setting that’s accessible and not stuffy.

Simple white dinner plates with a gold edge were paired with a red and white striped napkin. I love adding pops of red throughout my home during Christmas. I tied in the red stripe with the ribbon on the mini boxwood wreaths on the chairs. I use these throughout the season and change the ribbon if I want a different color scheme. They last from year to year so it’s a great investment!

Christmas Table Decorations, Holiday Tablescape Ideas

A sprig of rosemary placed in the center of each plate not only adds a festive touch of greenery but also makes the table smell amazing. I love the smell of rosemary! You can set it out days in advance too as it will dry nicely. I also loved using little jingle bell place cards.

I probably sound like a broken record lately, but lighting is everything! Especially at the holidays, you want your table to create a festive ambiance. Let your Christmas table decorations do double duty by filling lanterns with candles and twinkle string lights. I used simple brass lanterns that normally sit in my living room. They did the trick beautifully! I also have a set of glass votive holders that I use year-round. I just tuck them all around the place settings.

Simple floral arrangements of white and red are perfect at Christmas! I used white hydrangeas and red roses in simple glass vases. I also added in few decorative gold trees. I use them throughout my house before and after Christmas dinner.

As you can see, that’s really it! Christmas table decorations do not have to be elaborate to look beautiful and festive.

Brass lanterns with twinkle lights, gorgeous red and white flowers, and touches of decorative trees did the trick! These ideas will work for any color scheme.

You could easily use all white flowers for a “winter wonderland” white theme. Or skip the flowers and add more festive trees down the center of the table. Mix and match your favorite decor to create a design you love!
