Guest Room Makeover: Part 2
Did you catch my guest room makeover last week? Well, I’ve received lots of questions about where to buy the items in the room, especially from others who have the beautiful Sea Salt color in their own bedroom.
Alas, here is part 2…all the details of where to find it all! I have links galore so you can head straight to the source to shop to your heart’s delight. Ready?
First things first, guest rooms are all about the bed! Yes, you need a spot for guests to sit and relax as well as place their luggage, but I knew I wanted a really sumptuous bedding experience.
I spent countless hours pouring over the perfect pieces to tie in with the wall color and give the room a polished look. I adore how it turned out and the only depressing part is that my guest room now puts my master bedroom to shame.
Alas, I chose the Resort Bedding from Frontgate. I paired the Resort Fretwork Sheets (in Mineral) with the Resort Coverlet (in Mineral).
Folded at the end of the bed is the matching duvet cover from the bedding line. Everything is so soft and the colors give such a soothing look and feel to the room.
I’m already spying them for my master bedroom, I love the color choices too!
I have a thing for throw pillows. As in I like to hoard them. Seriously, one can never have enough. A swap of a few throw pillows can instantly give an old room a fresh new look.
So the ones I have here are sadly not available anymore but do not fret, Frontgate has some similar ones here and here that are equally as beautiful with this color scheme. And during the winter season, how fun are these fur pillows? Oh my goodness, love.
Like I mentioned, a spot to sit is definitely important in any guest room. My guest room isn’t a huge room, but the Petite Bobbin Chair was the perfect fit in the corner. I am obsessed with the wood turned details.
My only dilemma is trying not to move it around the house because I love it in every room. At the end of the bed, I added a luxe bench that has gorgeous gilded detailing.
I chose this pretty one in the sea glass color. It’s amazing how all the colors pair so well with the Sea Salt wall color. It gives the guest room that “fancy feel” like you just walked into a fabulous hotel. I just love it!
For the floor, I knew I wanted something soft but realistic meaning easy to clean. I have a 1 year old dog that is the size of a horse and a 2 year old daughter who thinks all surfaces are fair game for “arts ‘n crafts”. Hence, this Manderly Easy Care rug in ivory/ivory!
I spent forever finding the perfect rug, I always find rugs to be the hardest decision to make. Bookmark that rug, y’all, the colors are fabulous.
Now I can’t forget about towels. I love to display towels on the bed for guests, it’s just those little extra touches that make them feel oh so special.
Be sure to check out Part 1 for more ways to prep your home for holiday guests! For towels, I chose these Resort Towels and they come in 29 colors as well as the option to add a monogram which of course I had to do!
They’re plush and super soft and they wash beautifully! They’re one of Frontgate’s best sellers – easy to see why! Psss….they’re 20% off when you buy two or more like items.
The cute mirror above the bed can be found here (it looks like it’s currently out of stock but keep a watch on it).
There you have it! If there is anything else in the room that you’d love a source for, just leave me a comment below! I hope you’re inspired to give your bedroom (or guest bedroom) a little happy refresh! Below is a cheat sheet if you’re looking to refresh your bedroom!
Cheers!
Courtney
Where did you find the pretty gold alarm clock? It really adds to the polished look!
I believe I found it at Homegoods but this one is a cute one also: http://bit.ly/2iHqbOj
Desperately trying to find the curtains in your make over. Love no the sea salt but having a tough time with any curtains other than white. Thanks, Jeanie
Hi Jeanie! Curtains came from JC Penney. I couldn’t find the exact link as it was a few years ago and they probably have different ones now, but they’re a champagne color. I think it works really well with Sea Salt and white trim! Hope this helps!
Thanks. I was wondering about the drape color as well.
I am obsessed with the color of the drapes. Where did you get them?
I got them from JC Penney
Hi I love how you decorate the guess room. Marvelous!
Can you post the link to the drapes too? I can’t find it in JC Penney website. Thank you!
Hi ALison! Here they are: http://bit.ly/2n6P9DY and they come in a ton of colors. I used the ivory. I had them in white at my old house and those were also beautiful!
Beautiful! Can you tell me where you got the side tables?
Thanks
yes, they’re from Wayfair!
Where are the curtains from?
JC Penney!
Hi Courtney, do you know the style name and color of the JCPenney curtains? Thanks!
Love what you’ve done with this room! Where are your lamps from? Thank you!
I love he room! I’ve been looking for the side tables without any luck, any chance you remember the company that made them? Or if it’s not too much to ask, do you have the dimensions? Thank you!
Hi Courtney, I would like to know the style name and color of the JCPenneycurtains. Thanks
Hi Courtney, I would like to know the style name and color of the JCPenneycurtains. Thanks! Absolutely stunning! Your room is gorgeous!
Hi Lori! I wish I had this information but unfortunately I don’t have the exact details anymore and I tried to search all my records, but no luck. They are a lined champagne-colored satin finish however, if this helps!
I love all of this bedding and decor! I happen to have my guest bedroom painted in sea salt. I cannot find champagne curtains in that shade..?? Some places have the color but when I compare them, they’re not the same color. Where can I get those curtains you have??
Hi Marcy, They were from JCPenney but I don’t see them anymore, I’m sorry!
Awe well thanks Courtney. I will keep looking for sure!! But, if you happen to come across a place, please keep me in mind, I appreciate it!:))
Marcy~
Courtney, your guest room is beautiful! Our master bedroom is sea salt. Do you have a suggestion for a wall paint for our adjoining master bathroom?
Thank you so much!
