A Grinch Party for Christmas!

Calling all GRINCH lovers! My family adores the Grinch. We dress up in our Grinch pajamas every Christmas, we watch the Grinch on repeat all season and we’ve set our table for the ultimate Grinch Party for Christmas! Come along and take a peek…

Host a Grinch Party for Christmas

Gather the garland and call all your Whos, it’s time to host the ultimate Grinchy party! I have my party table set for a seated dinner but you could easily rearrange a bit to style it as a buffet-style or simple mix-and-mingle set-up as well. The concept is the same… all the GRINCH details!

Start out with classic Christmas red in either a tablecloth or red table runner as the foundation of your Grinch design. Layer on white dinnerware, I love a classic design with a gold rim.

If you can find Grinch plates, then let them be the star on top! I have a set of the Grinch plates from Williams Sonoma.

I wanted to enjoy a Grinch party with a few fancy touches so I used my gold flatware and Waterford glassware to for a whimsical yet elevated Grinch party!

On each chair, I tied on boxwood wreaths I got at Ballard Designs. I use these every single year and change up the decorations on them for a different festive feel.

This year? Grinch ornaments I snagged at Hobby Lobby. Any Grinch-themed ornament will create a similar look so check Target, Walmart, Amazon etc. Use a big red ribbon to tie these on!

Grinch Party Decorations

For the Grinch Party centerpiece, I set a large sleigh in the center of my table filled with wrapped gifts and decorations like a wooden Max, Cindy Lou Who, candy canes and red bows! I filled vases with bright red roses and white tulips. Basically, you want it to look like Who-ville!

Down the center, I tucked in fresh greenery like holly and magnolia leaves and twirled in strands of fairy lights – my favorite touch for ANY Christmas party! THESE are my favorite fairy string lights because they come with extra batteries.

Peppermint trees and gold glitter trees were tucked in for extra pizzazz! Mix and match your own favorite Christmas decor pieces with token Grinch-themed elements for the ultimate Grinch dinner party design. Your guests will LOVE IT!
