Rustic Fall Tablescape

Aleah and Nick, the husband and wife team behind Valley & Co., shared with us this cozy fall tablescape.  Aleah told us, “we were inspired to create this warm and whimsical dinner party shoot by cozy fall nights spent with family and friends visiting and warming up with spiked apple cider.” One of my favorite parts is that guests were given cinnamon sticks wrapped in plaid felt strips made to look like miniature bundles of firewood! So cute!

Aleah shared more of the details with us, “we brought to life woodland ambiance at our table nestled between the towering skyscrapers of downtown Seattle. Birch branches sprouting vibrant fall berries anchored our table and the rich taffeta runner brought out the warm red tones in the brick background and the plaid lap blankets placed on the chairs to keep our guests warm.  A bounty of Northwest greens and vegetables were dished up alongside a hearty dinner and hot spiked apple cider kept our guests warm and fuzzy all night.”

Spiked Apple Cider:

1 gallon of fresh apple cider
1 cup of brandy {apple brandy is best}
8 cinnamon sticks
3 teaspoons of whole cloves
Skin of a red apple, peeled into curls

Place the cinnamon sticks and cloves into a cinched cheesecloth bag in a pot. Add cider and brandy and simmer until hot; about 15 minutes. Pour into over sized mugs and garnish with curled apple skin and enjoy!

Thanks, Aleah and Nick for designing such beautiful fall inspiration!
