Girl’s Night Party: Truffle Tasting!
What’s a Girl’s Night Party without chocolate? Well, make it the star of the night and you’re really talking! So Godiva asked me to try out their new “Truffle Flights” (think wine flight but chocolate-style) for a festive gal’s night and “why of course”, I said! A smart woman never turns down chocolate. Especially a delicious flight of gourmet truffles. Amen! Take a look at the tablescape details and pairing recipe below!
Being the start of my favorite season – fall! – I was inspired to bring together hues of orange and eggplant purple for a pretty color combo for my tablescape. Simple milk glass vases (clear would also be fab) held purple and orange carnations for a budget-friendly way to add festive florals to the table. Lots of readers ask for very easy ways to set up pretty party tables. Here you go! This table really is super simple yet chic. Simple white china pairs beautifully with the vases and the truffle boxes match with their purple embellishments. Cute paper straws and napkins add a touch of whimsy. I was lucky to have a gorgeous purple cake stand (wedding gift!) but clear or white would be equally wonderful for serving up truffles and pairing foods. Find my pairings below!
We enjoyed pairing the 5 truffles with food and cocktails. I’ve included the recipe for my walnut, brie, and cherry tarts that we paired with Chocolate Eclair. Truly, the chocolates were fabulous with everything. Here is the truffle flight we enjoyed: Ultimate Dessert Truffle Flight: Chocolate Éclair, Crème Brulee, Red Velvet Cake, Chocolate Lava Cake, Tiramisu, Strawberry Crème Tarte. The tart cherry was perfect with the chocolate and brie? Delicious with all chocolates!
Here were our 5 delicious pairings!
Chocolate Eclair Truffle — Walnut, Brie, & Cherry Tarts
Creme Brulee — ProseccoÂ
Red Velvet Cake — Tenderloin Medallions & Grilled Asparagus

INTRODUCING THE GODIVA Truffle Flight: Get ready to experience truffles as you never have before. Much like you would taste a wine flight, tasting a GODIVA Truffle Flight is a progressive exploration of flavors, textures and aromas. Our Executive Chef Chocolatier, Thierry Muret, personally selected the truffles in each of the six flights, placing them in order for the ideal tasting experience. The concept is thoroughly groundbreaking—we know because we invented it—and deliciously GODIVA.
