Host a Champagne & Cheese Party!
Host your friends and neighbors for a Champagne & Cheese Party complete with a spread of appetizers (lots of cheese, of course) and bubbly!
The Best Cheese for Champagne
No celebration is complete without cheese, so what’s the ideal cheese to serve alongside a glass of champagne?
- Soft cheeses (triple-cream) like Brie and Camembert are fabulous choices. That’s why I used brie here with my blackberry bites.
- Baby Swiss
- Gruyere
- Gouda
- Cheddar
- Parmesan
This is a good baseline list for getting started with your champagne and cheese party menu. Read on for a few of the recipe ideas I served at my get-together.
Champagne and Cheese Party Menu Ideas
Herbs de Provence Cups – Line small canapé cups with celery leaves and chives. Fill with your favorite soft Herbs de Provence spreadable cheese. I used President brand.
Blackberry Brie Bites – Always a crowd favorite, brie is perfect for pairing with champagne. Fill phyllo cups with a small slice of brie, bake until melted, and top with a blackberry (or other fruit of choice).
Celery Almond Bites – Slice celery stalks into small 2-inch slices. Top with a soft or spreadable cheese. Top each with an almond.
Prosciutto Roll-Ups – Layer a slice of prosciutto with a soft cheese, such as a spreadable garlic and herb cheese, top with two spinach leaves, roll and secure with a toothpick.

Champagne and Cheese Party Decorations & Tips
A bold royal blue tablecloth was topped with a whimsical black-and-white striped runner. The black-and-white stripe theme was carried out through the party with napkins, straws for drinks, vases, and holders for crackers and pretzel sticks.
Classic hydrangeas served as a simple centerpiece atop stacked white cake stands that were perfect for holding all the canapés. Welcome your guests with a tray of champagne and berries as they pick out their favorite cheese treats.
Height always creates a dramatic element so consider serving up breadsticks and pretzels in tall votive glasses. Clear glass and solid white are perfect for a whimsical party because they really allow the striped décor to pop!
I hope you’re inspired to host your own Champagne & Cheese Party! Thanks for taking a look at mine! Let me know your favorite detail below!

Courtney,
I love all your party ideas. They are so different and I get tons of ideas. My blog is still very new and I’m learning a lot, but I still have a long way to go. Are you attending any conferences this year? I would love to get the chance to meet you. Anyway, keep up the good work.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Ely
