Have you ever heard the expression: Cute as a bug in a rug? Well….this is cute as a bug on a table! Kids love playing outside so this party is right down their adventure-loving alley. Bug catchers are a must! Treat each child to their own bug catcher upon arrival to the party! These little gifts don’t have to break the bank either. We found ours at Dollar Tree. Encourage each child to go hunting for bugs until all the guests have arrived.
We filled these cute polka dotted treat boxes with goodies + mini nets filled with peanut butter cookies! A little hot glue helped us adorn a colorful bug to the front! Next, we used polka dotted planters from Michaels for more decoration when filled with moss + mushrooms!
Create BUGtastic centerpieces by filling a fun + colorful planter (we found ours at HomeGoods in the garden section) with Styrofoam and cover with moss + fern leaves. Then stick a variety of fun BUG NETS down in the Styrofoam. Our bug nets were $1 each Dollar Tree.
Not a detail was left without a “bug” touch. Orange straws were decorated with BUG STICKERS! You could also use bug stickers on party cups, napkins, invitation envelopes, etc. Stickers are an inexpensive + easy way to add a little pizzazz to your party!Â
Send guests home with a fun bug book! We found dozens at the dollar store. Or fill bug catchers with candy + other treats! They’ll have a blast heading home with their new bug catchers to find bugs in their own backyard.
