{Party Feature} Pink Preppy Pony Party
Yee-Haw Y’all! We’re thrilled to have our friend Jenny from Bloom Designs on the blog today! Her parties are some of our absolute favorites, especially this adorable preppy pony party!
Jenny shared lots of party details with us…take it away, Jenny!
I am so excited to share this preppy pony party that I styled for the most adorable brother and sister. The birthday girl and boy had only request for the party- pony rides, so that easily dictated the theme. Their mom and I worked together to come up with a pink, navy and light blue color scheme. We wanted the party to be preppy, modern, and most of all fun. We decorated the yards with yards of navy gingham; 36 inch white balloons and bales of hay.
The party was in the afternoon so we served heavy appetizer sand some fun snacks. The “every pony needs a little ranch” veggie cups were one of my favorite elements of the party. We also served cowboy chili, pony pasta and trail mix. Guest quenched their thirst with pony pop, pony punch and for them old cowboys, broncobusters. Milk glasses were decorated with pony silhouettes.
After taking a few pony rides in their cowboy hats and bandanas, the kids painted ponies, made necklaces with pony beads, played a pony round up game with embroidery hoops and pony cutouts by Ten23 Designs. The girls received fancy tattoos and pretty nails at the grooming station. Everyone loved playing pin the tail on the pony and what’s a pony party without a game of horseshoes.
The backdrop for the dessert table was simple wooden boards painted white with a navy horse and bunting that matched our printables. Tassel garland hung from the front of the table. Of course, there were two cakes for the dessert table- one for our cowboy and one for our cowgirl. The guest had their fill of pony pops, donuts, macarons and sugar cookies along with cupcakes and chocolate covered Oreos decorated with fondant toppers by Edible Details.
For party favors, we made bags of cowboy and cowgirl candy (cotton candy). All the cowboys took home wooden pop guns and the cowgirls received “for you pony” ribbons.
The printables were all created in the light blue, pink and navy color scheme with fun background papers. All party printables including invitation, banner, food labels, activity signs, water bottles and more are available in my store.
