Transfomers Birthday Party!

Now I’m a “girly girl” (we’re talking ribbons and pearls) but this is one COOL boy’s birthday party! Transformers are all the rage so we were excited to see a themed party done in a very creative way by Kira Lauren Photography for her son, Evan. The cake is a three-tier Optimus Prime cake by Sweet Cakes by Rebecca and, it is definitely one of the neatest children’s birthday party cakes we’ve seen. ┬áRead on for more details…

Kira shared lots of the TRANSFORMER PARTY details with us!
“We had a candy bar, aptly named the “Cybertron Refueling Station,” featuring the Transformers’ favorite candy, such as “Hot Rod’s Hot Tamales” and “Roll Out Red Vines” tagged with homemade rosettes and the Transformers logo. Guests filled their favor bags with take-home candy: white lunch bags tagged with a thank you card I custom designed, featuring a photo of my son in an Optimus Prime mask, which matched his invitation. Some of the Transformer’s favorite foods also made the menu: “Optimus Prime Rib Sliders” and “ALL SPARK-ling Fruit Punch.”

“Everyone (adults and kids alike) loved having their faces painted with the Autobot and Decepticon logos. My sister cut out a vinyl stencil using her Cricut machine, and the image was simply stenciled on using a sponge brush! My sister also made delicious Cybertronian cake pops that stood in colorful Transformers buckets– tin pails with the logos glued on, cut out from the Cricut machine. And what Transformers Party is made complete without Optimus Prime in attendance? My husband constructed a life-size, transforming Optimus Prime costume with the help of moving boxes and a little spray paint. Scared some kids, entertained some adults, and was a huge hit!”
