A Sparkling Pink Christmas Cookie Decorating Party
The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree with regards to my LOVE for throwing a party! My 3-year-old daughter, Blakely, is quite the little hostess herself. She absolutely loves to throw tea parties for her teddy bears and baby dolls. She’s been “hosting” these dazzling “affairs” since she was about 18 months old (you can see these parties on Instagram at #blakelystables). She and I decided a cookie party was in order this holiday season so with the help of Mud Pie, she had a sparkling fete full of frosting, sprinkles, and darling details! Scroll down to see the pictures and details of my favorite products on the table…
I love the idea of hosting a Christmas cookie decorating party so whether it’s for baby dolls or neighborhood friends, here are a few of my top tips and favorite products!
Serve up simple sugar cookies on holiday serving trays for all the guests. I love the “ho ho ho” and “merry & bright” hostess tray sets from Mud Pie in gold and white! They go with any color scheme! Another tip? Use the cheese spreaders as frosting spreaders placed in simple bowls of various frostings in your favorite shades. We had white and pink for this sparkling occasion. We filled paper baking cups with lots of sweet sprinkles! We housed all the frostings and sprinkles on this gold edge marble board that I adore! It’s perfect for keeping everything organized in the center of the table. You can transition it from a kids table seen here to wine and cheese with friends in the evening as it’s such a versatile serving piece!
Little gold holiday dishes make the perfect plates for decorating cookies. Blakely has been playing “tea party” with these sweet mini plates all season long! On the back of each chair we tied on glitter wire star ornaments for an extra touch of sparkle. These would also be darling tied onto a Christmas tree!
Napkins are a must at any cookie decorating party so we chose these adorable Jingle Jingle Jingle holiday sparkle cocktail napkins from Mud Pie! Again, these are great for kid’s events as well as adult parties, and I love gifting them as hostess gifts too!
Blakely is also quite into tutus and all things sparkly so a coordinating outfit was icing on the “cookie” at this party! She wore her new favorite outfit, the Ivory & Gold Glitter Tutu and Holiday Sequin Reindeer Shirt, both from Mud Pie!
A quick trip to the market for simple pink flowers and the fabric store for a couple of yards of pastel pink fabric pulled this party together in no time! I hope you’re inspired to throw your own sparkling pink Christmas cookie decorating party! Whether you’re hosting a large party or choosing a traditional red and green color scheme, you can use the tips above and apply to your own special party!
Cheers!
Courtney
