Luxe Gingerbread House Decorating Party and Gingerbread Truffle Martinis!

LUXE GINGERBREAD HOUSE DECORATING PARTY

We’re in for a very sweet treat today! I’m sharing one of my very favorite posts for this holiday season, a luxe gingerbread house decorating party and gingerbread truffle martini recipe!

Decorating gingerbread houses is no longer confined to ages 5 and under. Nope, invite our girlfriends over, whip up some of these gingerbread truffle martinis and decorate your own houses! You can do it your way and enjoy your friends for a fabulously festive evening of fun! Let’s chat details…

I’ve been decorating gingerbread houses since I could barely walk, but like I said above, it’s typically reserved to those younger years, and I’m here to change that. We deserve to get in to the sweet fun too, right?

So pick an evening, grab some candies and get decorating! To make things easier on yourself, start with basic houses so you don’t spend the evening getting the structure together. That takes a bit of time, and we all know the fun is in the decorating.

You can buy store-bought gingerbread house bases or make your own DIY Gingerbread Houses. Either way, get the bases made, set on a dinner plate to keep things as tidy as possible, and use appetizer plates to hold all the candies. You could also use little bowls around the table filled with candy as well.

To add to the festive decor, I used tufts of “snow” from the craft store along with twinkling lights down the center of my table. It creates a glowing ambiance that’s oh so perfect for the winter holidays.

There’s truly nothing more festive than an evening of eating gum drops and gingerbread truffle martinis, trust me!

Love every bit of this! A friend and I want to host one ourselves… where did you get the gingerbread houses in these images? I have seen your DIY graham cracker ones, but am obsessed with these!
Would love to hear back from you!

    1. Hi Caroline! They were a kit sold at stores. It’s been so many years now I can’t recall which store but Costco/Target/Wal-Mart all have similar kits around the holidays!
