Traditional Thanksgiving Tablescape
Traditional Thanksgiving Tablescape Details
Growing up, my Mom always decorated for every holiday. I would find an Easter vase with roses on my bedside table in the spring and a tiny lighted Christmas tree in my room in the winter.
I always loved the traditional Southern elements of her decorating. Growing up in this environment is the main reason I love traditional decor at the holidays.
Now, don’t get me wrong, I truly appreciate and enjoy decorating in new and unique ways and with fun color schemes, but I also appreciate and enjoy tradition.
This Thanksgiving table was designed by my Mom and represents our family’s style perfectly. Classic tapered candles and traditional place settings adorned with gold leaves. My favorite element is the gold cornucopia.
An easy DIY touch to a craft store cornucopia that you can try this Thanksgiving! Just grab a can of gold metallic spray paint. Use extra paint on fall leaves or even leftover Halloween mini pumpkins or gourds.
Or decorate entirely with golden branches for a decadent and glamorous look this Thanksgiving.
This is one of my recent Thanksgiving tables, you can see more of it here! I always try to channel my mom’s classic style when I design a table.
