Treasure Hunting for Outdoor Summer Parties!

treasure hunting for outdoor summer parties

Happy Monday, Y’all! So remember when I shared that I was designing a fabulous outdoor summer party with the help of Pier 1? I’m back to share how I found the perfect pieces to pull the party together. The “treasure hunting” experience for any of my party designs is always my favorite. Sometimes it’s something as simple as a bowl of oranges that can spark an entire party style. So I hopped in the car with my Mom and headed to Pier 1 to go treasure hunting.

Outdoor Summer Party Inspiration

I’m always pulled in by colors, especially in the summer months so the bright aqua and vibrant orange really popped to me! I knew I had to use these pieces. I also wanted a summer motif so the coral on the pillows above instantly made it the perfect party! Aqua + Orange + Beach! Throwing a gorgeous party can really be as simple as pairing two dynamic colors together.

Colored napkins and placemats!

What I love about treasure hunting at Pier 1 is the wall of napkins and placemats. I’m so inspired by color that just walking by this wall has visions of tablescapes just waiting to be styled and dinner parties waiting to be enjoyed. No matter what color scheme you’re designing, there is something that fits the bill perfectly. I also love to use their napkins for propping. The patterns are always so fun.

Pier 1 Bowl and Fruit

Back to my aqua + orange! I love the artificial fruit for a centerpiece. I know, artificial fruit! Have I lost my mind? No! I love it because it adds the perfect pop of color, is always ready for stop-in guests, and fits with my color scheme to a “T”! The aqua bowl pair so well with the beach theme because the design reminds me of ocean waves. Not only is it an instant centerpiece but it’s summertime decor inside when the party is over. I love being able to reuse items after a party.

July 4th Party Like it's 1776!

Though I’m designing a bright and beachy dinner party, I had to share a few of the cute July 4th items for those with upcoming patriotic themed parties. Party like it’s 1776? So cute. I love this bunting banner along with red and blue wine glasses, wreaths, party poppers, straws, etc. I’m so excited for the 4th of July!

My aqua + orange beach-themed dinner party is coming up so check back soon for all the party details in an upcoming post. I can’t WAIT to share how the party turns out. Thanks for reading all about my treasure hunting!
