To Create a Valentine’s Day Pom-Pom & Paper Lantern Party Wall

You will need:

  • 1 piece of 30” x 43” white cardboard (you can of course go for a smaller piece and adjust the number of lanterns)
  • Scissors and tape (washi tape will be also fine if you create your décor just a couple of hours ahead – for a long lasting piece, it’s better to use regular tape)
  • String to hang the paper lanterns and accordion paper lanterns (for pompoms and honeycomb balls you can use their included string)
    • 3 honeycomb balls (5’’)
    • 3 honeycomb balls (8’’)
    • 12 paper pompoms (10’’)
    • 8 accordion paper lanterns (8’’)
    • 6 paper lanterns (6’’)

Start by taping each lantern and pom all around the frame, one after the other, leaving very little space between them to hide as much white as possible. Then you can fill in the inside of the frame making sure lanterns and pompoms are really tightly arranged so that they cover the whole space. And voilà, a beautiful statement piece for Valentine’s Day!

I love how it instantly adds pizzazz to this simple yet darling party table! White dishes atop a white cloth is clean and simple so it lets the party wall really shine! Another reason I adore this statement wall? You can reuse the pom-poms and lanterns! I have a little corner of my daughter’s room with these pom-poms and lanterns, it’s so cute! Thanks to Under The Paper Lantern for letting us share this fab DIY!
