Hooray! I’ve been waiting SO long to shout this from the rooftops! First, let’s toast with a champagne margarita recipe that is worthy of the occasion!
What better way to celebrate today’s announcement than my absolute favorite margarita variety? I made Strawberries & Champagne Margaritas for Valentine’s Day a few years ago, but I love this simple champagne margarita for year-round celebrations, like TODAY! They’re easy to make, refreshing, and the perfect amount of sparkling bubbly for the occasion. What’s the occasion, you say? Well….
I’M WRITING ANOTHER BOOK!
I’m so excited and beyond thankful for this opportunity. I know how lucky I am to have the chance to publish my ideas and share them with all of you! I’m so very thankful for all of your support that allows me to continue to fulfill my dreams. This will be my 5th book (that doesn’t even seem real…) but here we are!
I wasn’t sure I would ever write another book. They are extremely time-consuming (bless my family), but my publisher and I spent an entire calendar year (maybe even longer) perfecting exactly what we wanted this book to be. We both knew that it had to be the perfect topic and perfect design (size, price point, etc) for me to sign on. AND HERE WE ARE! This will also be my largest book, eep! YAY! We are absolutely over-the-moon.
My Mom will be co-authoring the book with me so if you’re familiar with ZZ over on Instagram stories, you’ll get to see lots more of her! She also co-authored my last book with me. Speaking of, the two of us will be styling the book ourselves (YAY). We won’t be photographing it, however, and I’ll introduce you to the photographer soon! You might recognize him if you’ve been a follower from the beginning.
My dining room already looks like a mission-control level war room. Coffee is on rotation. :)
I’ll be sharing topics and details as we can, and I’ll start a highlight on Instagram for all the behind-the-scenes of the book. It will release in Fall 2020.
BACK TO THE CHAMPAGNE MARGARITA
I hope you’ll all have a big CHEERS with me! I cannot wait to share more details with you, but for now, just know that I’m working like a crazy woman behind-the-scenes to bring you even more entertaining inspiration. I will still have lots of exclusive blog content going up this year, but if I go quiet for a bit, you know why. ;)
The next time you’re craving a margarita, you must try this champagne margarita! I rimmed my glasses in sugar, but you can certainly use salt. I just like a little extra sweetness. Life is short, make it sweet, ha!
Celebrate with a sparking champagne margarita that's a delicious combo of all lime and your favorite bubbly!
- 1 1/2 ounces fresh lime juice
- 1 ounce silver tequila
- 1 ounce triple sec
- 3 ounces champagne (or sparkling wine)
Optional: Rim glasses in sugar or salt. Do so by lining a shallow plate or bowl with lime juice. Fill another plate with salt or sugar. Flip glasses into lime juice and then into the salt (or sugar) and twist until edge is coated. Fill glasses with ice.
Combine lime juice, tequila, and triple sec. Shake will and pour into glass. Top with champagne. Add a lime to garnish!
Now if you like a sweeter margarita, feel free to add a bit of simple syrup or superfine sugar to your margarita. You can definitely sweeten it up to your liking. Add a lime garnish, and you’re ready to celebrate! Sip sip HOORAY!
Thank you again for following along with my blog and today’s announcement. Without you, I could not do this job. I’m so very thankful and so VERY EXCITED.
P.S. If you don’t have my last book, you can find it here on Amazon!
