Floral & Fern Summer Tablescape

While I do enjoy neutral tablescapes and decor, there is something about summer that has me craving all the gorgeous colors like pinks, corals, and greens. These hues were the inspiration for this floral and fern summer tablescape!

Floral & Fern Summer Tablescape

My goal is to break down this summer tablescape and show you just how simple it is to pull together for a girl’s dinner, a birthday party, or just a festive summer meal. Don’t feel like you have to include every element on this table, just grab one or two of your favorite ideas and let it inspire your next tablescape.

If you’re not keen on heavy tablecloths, don’t worry one bit. Leave your table bare like I’ve done here and use simple placemats like these woven ones! I also love rattan placemats (here are some beautiful ones from Sur La Table). For a more feminine touch, it’s worth mentioning these scalloped placemats from Serena & Lily that I own and love! A pretty rattan placemat gives your table the perfect summer texture!

Pink Summer Tablescape

A simple blush pink plate adds the perfect base for my place setting. Shockingly, these plates were a random, fun find from Hobby Lobby a few years ago. Here are some similar blush plates though! I find myself using these pink plates for so many occasions from spring/summer tables to holidays like Valentine’s Day and Easter!

Fun floral napkins add a pop of pattern that I love on a summer tablescape! Don’t be afraid to add some pattern, especially if you opted out of a tablecloth. These floral napkins were a HomeGoods find, but these are very similar looking and on sale! My favorite gold bamboo napkin rings were the perfect touch! They paired beautifully with my gold bamboo flatware.

fern tablescape

To add a botanical element to the table, I added a fern cutting to each place settings! These came straight from my garden, but you can often find fern or greenery stems where flowers are sold. Trader Joe’s has a great selection of floral greenery as do most grocery stores and wholesale florists. Check your yard first, however, as there are so many clippings that are beautiful for a touch of greenery!

I grabbed a few different flowers to pull together these arrangements and tucked in extra fern stems to tie the fern theme all together. Use flowers you find available, just stick to your color scheme. For me, I chose pinks, corals, oranges, and whites along with lots of green touches!

Pink and Floral Summer Tablescape

Bright aqua taper candles added a pop of unexpected color to keep the table fresh and fun! I love sticking to a color scheme, but give yourself permission to add a random twist or pop of color (or pattern) to your table! It’s just a tablescape, after all, so ignore “rules” and mix and match until you create something you love!

The brass palm candle holders are my favorite decor piece on the table. I love the “palm beach” vibe they give off for this summer tablescape. They were part of the Opal House collection at Target, but I found very similar ones at CB2. I leave mine out all summer long on my bar cart as I just love them so much! They’re not something you’d have to splurge on, however, so if you’re on a budget, simple candle holders will do the trick just fine!

Pink Floral Tablescape

The blush pink watercolor place cards are from Glory Co. on Etsy! I love the personalized touch they give to each place setting!

Pink Summer Tablescape

I hope you’re inspired to add a few entertaining pieces to your collection (I’d start with the rattan placemats as they’re the most versatile) and enjoy styling tablescapes for your friends and family! I view a table as a canvas and hope I’ve encouraged you to do the same!

    1. Hi Michelle! Thank you! So the super light pink stemmed glassware was an antique store find. The other coral glasses were a craigslist find. So I know that’s no help. But I do think Pottery Barn’s Monique Lhuillier Swirl Glassware is very similar to my stemmed ones. — http://bit.ly/32AGQGv and if I see anything like the other ones, I’ll be sure to update here!
