SUMMER CARNIVAL SURPRISE BIRTHDAY PARTY

PARTY DETAILS
“Imagine a summer carnival themed birthday party complete with all of the must-have sweet treats…for ADULTS!  Nobody loves cotton candy and carnival food more than my friend Monica.  We surprised her with an ‘under-the-big top’ carnival themed party for her 36th birthday!  We served up a smorgasbord of treats, including:  fresh popped popcorn, roasted peanuts, homemade Fischer scones, homemade pretzels (salted & cinnamon), ice cream push up pops, caramel apples, clown cake pops, cotton candy, chocolate cupcakes, marshmallow pops, salt water taffy & candy galore.   This theme lent itself perfectly to an abundance of gorgeous stripes!

From the red & white striped backdrop to the aqua striped tablecloth to striped peanut & popcorn bags, striped paper party straws, water bottle labels, push up pop containers, cupcake liners, clown hats (for the photo booth) and more, this party was a haven for bright summer stripes.  We even incorporated stripes on the food, using edible Wilton markers on marshmallow pops, designed to look like miniature bags of popcorn.”

FRUIT STAND PARTY

PARTY DETAILS
Our family goes to the farmer’s market every weekend and we walk to our favorite fruit stand during the week.  My daughter’s 7th birthday is next month and her favorite food is fruit – so the idea of a fruit stand party was born.  I decided to use her wooden grocery stand as the focal point of the display.  Each little compartment is filled with fresh fruit and a few fruit themed treats such as Runts, Peach Rings and Fruit Tootsie Rolls.  The party favors include a berry basket filled with a fruit shaped notepad, fruit scented eraser, fruit themed pencil sharpener, a box of gummy fruit salad, and a fruit lollipop.  The delicious cupcakes are topped with white buttercream and sugar sprinkles then finished with cherries, grapes and pears piped on.  Included on the table are a few additional sweets, including fruit themed lollipops, gummy fruit skewers and boxes on lemon heads wrapped in custom designed paper.

GIRLS NIGHT IN DINNER PARTY

PARTY DETAILS
” I created a table that would be FABULOUS for a Girl’s Night In. It’s simple, chic, beautiful and full of stripy details. I decided to combined 2 things I love, stripes (obviously) and details. I LOVE stripes of all varieties and I LOVE details and believe the little details are what make good parties fantastic.

Since summer is here I decided to use my picnic table outside. I put a simple white tablecloth as my base and then I used a variety of ribbon to make stripes on the tablecloth. My FAVORITE ribbon is the one with thick black and white stripes. There are striped details at each place setting, which include a striped straw inside a hand painted mustache cup, striped tape on the charger holding a name tag, striped pasta (which was DELISH by the way) and cheese striped salad. Other striped details on the table are the stripes on the bread, striped tape on the water pitcher, stripes on the Polaroid camera and stripes on the salt and pepper shakers. ”

  1. It is so fun to see all the creative ways people incorporated stripes into their party styling! I love coming to Pizzazzerie for a visual smorgasbord of inspiration! Thank you for sharing all the entries.

  2. They are all so beautiful but I would have to say my favorite was the “Girls night In” dinner party. It looks so sophisticated, and the striped pasta…umm, wow! Nicely done!
