We are swooning over this absolutely gorgeous yellow and green plaid bridal shower designed by the talented Events by LMG! From the mini cupcakes by So Cupcake to the darling dessert flags and other paper goodies by Pink Piggy Design, this bridal shower is one of our favorites! The oh-so-talented Mara of Events by LMG shared some of the shower inspiration and details with us…

“After determining our color palette of ivory, yellow and spring greens we chose to incorporate a plaid graphic to keep the feel light and fun. We worked with Pink Piggy Design to create our invitation and coordinating custom “printables” for dessert tags, water bottle wraps, mini candy bars, Hershey kisses, cupcake flags and more. The same colors, fonts and graphics used on the invitation were also used on the printables to create a cohesive feel and provide continuity of the elements. Printables are high up on my list of MUST HAVE items for showers and parties. Everything is fully customizable, so we were able to incorporate the couple’s name and wedding date onto multiple items, which made everything very personal!” – Mara, Events by LMG

The floral arrangements helped soften the look of this whimsical plaid bridal shower. The gender-neutral colors made it inviting for everyone. One of my favorite details were the fruit heart skewers. Simple cookie cutters can enhance cut fruit for all sorts of celebrations from bridal showers to birthday parties! The candy bar wrappers are also another personal touch that I just adore.

“The confectionery geniuses at So Cupcake customized three of their standard vanilla, coconut and key lime cupcakes and frosted them to match our color palette. A good rule of thumb is to always stick to colors within your palette, and don’t be afraid to allow the different elements vary within a few shades- too “matchy matchy” looks too intentional and forced. Delicious French Macaroons from La Bonne Vie were served as guest favors packaged in clear cellophane bags and tied with personalized “thank you” tags. This is a really easy DIY anyone could manage. We opted to display the macaroons on our dessert buffet and also arranged them in a basket at the door for guests to take.” Mara, Events by LMG
