It’s cocktail time around these parts! I’m excited to get back to the basics of cocktails and share a recipe for a classic Sea Breeze drink. It’s very easy to make and perfect for summer entertaining.

I love to create unique twists on classic cocktails, but every once in a while, I want to share a basic go-to drink recipe with you! When it comes to mixed drinks, this one is easy and delicious, just how I like it!

You might remember when I shared how to make a Bay Breeze Cocktail, the “sister” drink to this Sea Breeze. It’s also delicious, so I highly recommend trying them both or setting up a festive little drink bar at your next party!

Set up a Cocktail Bar Cart

Who doesn’t love a cocktail bar? If you have a side table or bar cart, gather all the ingredients you’ll need and a big ice bucket of ice. Display out carafes of your fruit juices like cranberry, grapefruit, pineapple etc. Display glasses and fruit garnishes as well as a few stirrer spoons. Include a few jiggers for mixing and let your guests go to town!

Sea Breeze Cocktail Ingredients

Back to this delicious, summery drink! A Sea Breeze is made of three ingredients; vodka, cranberry juice, and grapefruit juice. Easy!

Sea Breeze Garnishes

Typically, it’s garnished with a lime wedge but you could use a grapefruit wedge as well. I love adding extra garnishes to my drinks both for taste and the “pretty” factor, especially when serving them up for a summer soiree!

If you love a cocktail that has some tartness to it, this is your drink! It packs a punch! Another reason I love this drink is because it’s fuss-free so you can make it ahead “pitcher style” to serve to a group. You can mix all ingredients up in advance. No worrying about adding anything at the end, etc. Stir it up and keep refrigerated!

I’m often asked about changing things and tailoring recipes. Yes, absolutely! Make it your own!

CAN YOU USE RUM IN LIEU OF VODKA?

Absolutely! This will cut some of the tartness of the Sea Breeze as rum is quite sweet. It won’t be an official “Sea Breeze” but I always want you to tailor a recipe to your own personal taste! You might even love trying flavored vodkas or rums, like a coconut rum, for an extra tropical twist.

I can’t fix the fact that you might not be on a tropical vacation this summer, but you can put a Sea Breeze in your hand and feel like you are! ;) Truly, this is one of my favorite “go to” weekend cocktails, especially when guests pop in as it’s easy to have these fruit juices on hand. I hope you love it as much as I do!
