There’s nothing more charming than a beautiful, well-dressed table, in my opinion! When the occasion calls for pretty pink florals and a tea party setting? Well, that’s icing on the cake! This is one of my very favorite tablescapes to date, I just adore it!

The table was inspired by my garden peonies that bloom each May in a variety of stunning pink hues. I love to show them off on my table each year! This peony tablescape is how I used them last year! If only they bloomed all summer long!

I recently bought the pretty pink bow tablecloth from Julia Amory after my second daughter was born since I know we have many more pink tea parties in our future! I was so thrilled to pull it out and love how it pairs so beautifully with the china and peonies. I love the dainty vintage vibe!

The Noritake Rosedale china is absolutely one of my favorite patterns. My Mom bought the set on King St. in Charleston, South Carolina years ago when we lived there. I love the gorgeous colors and floral touches.

I paired the china with my grandmother’s silverware. Pulling in family heirlooms (like silver and china) makes a tablescape even more special. Always say yes to hand-me-down china!

I’ve had the pink goblets for quite awhile (here are similar ones) and love the growing trend of colored glassware. They add such a fun pop of pink to tie in the china and peonies.

For the napkins I chose simple light green and white striped cloth napkins, a HomeGoods find! Simple white cotton napkins would also look beautiful, especially with a pink or green monogram. Investing in a few classic cloth napkin sets will really elevate your tables!

My pink garden peonies were certainly the star of this tea party centerpiece. I used simple glass vases in a few varieties. Also from my garden, we added in clippings of fern, nandina, and soloman seal to the bouquets.

Peony Place Settings

I love the ambiance of the green and white taper candles and blush pink votive candles, but you can certainly leave these off if you’re hosting a morning or daytime tea party. Or… ignore any fussy rules and include candles if you love them, I certainly do!

Tea Party Place Setting
  • FLORAL CHINA – Noritake Rosedale is what I used, but look for any similar floral china!
  • PRETTY FLOWERS – Pull out a couple of the colors from the floral motifs in your china to use as floral inspiration. I chose shades of pink and white.
  • DAINTY TABLECLOTH – I adore the pale pink bows and the small-print allows the china and flowers to shine!
  • TEA CUPS – Of course! Mix-and-match if you don’t have a full set – or even if you do!
