Easy Peach Sorbet

There’s something incredibly refreshing about a cold, fruity sorbet on a hot summer day! Especially living in South Carolina where peaches are aplenty, this peach sorbet is the ultimate treat and made with only 3 ingredients and a little water!

I absolutely love this frozen treat in the summer! I live in Charleston where it’s HOT and HUMID during the summer months, so staying cool is top of the list all season long. Once I realized just how easy it was to make your own homemade sorbets, I was hooked. Peach is my favorite so far, but stay tuned, I’m trying lots of flavors!

Picking the Perfect Peaches for Sorbet

The key to the best peach sorbet lies is using high-quality peaches. Opt for ripe, juicy peaches that yield slightly to pressure and smell – well – like peaches!

Overripe peaches, while too soft for most uses, are perfect for sorbet as they are packed with natural sugars and flavor. If fresh peaches are not in season, you can use frozen peaches!

How to Make Peach Sorbet

Be sure to slice up your peaches and freeze them (I just drop mine in a plastic baggie) before making this sorbet.

Pulse your granulated sugar in a blender or food processor to help make it more fine in texture. Set the sugar aside.

Blend up your frozen peaches with a little water and lime juice. The measurements are in the recipe card at the end of the post, but adjust as necessary. A little tweaking of the water and lime juice won’t negatively affect your sorbet, so no worries! As long as you can blend it until smooth, you’re good to go! Don’t forget to add that cup of sugar back in too.

Pour your peach sorbet puree into a 1 lb loaf pan. I use a sheet of wax paper pressed gently on top to “seal” the sorbet. Set it in your freezer for at least 6 hours but ideally overnight so it’s fully frozen.

When ready to serve, set it out a few minutes to soften slightly then scoop it up!

Serve it in a bowl for a simple, elegant dessert, or get creative with presentation. It pairs beautifully with fresh berries, a drizzle of honey, or a sprig of mint for extra garnish. It’s also delicious served on a slice of pound cake!

Peach Sorbet

This super easy peach sorbet is made with only 3 ingredients plus a little water. It's smooth, delicious and perfect for a summer treat!

Total Time 5 hours 10 minutes


  • Blender or Food Processor


  • 2 pounds peaches - (about 6 peaches)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 3 tsp lime juice - (or lemon juice)


  • Peel and slice peaches. Freeze peach slices. Alternately, you can use store-bought frozen peaches if you don't have fresh peaches.
  • In a blender or food processor, add sugar and pulse until texture becomes fine. Pour sugar out into a separate bowl.
  • Add in frozen peaches, water and lime juice.
  • Process until smooth and creamy. Add in sugar and blend again until combined. Add more water (2 tablespoons at a time) as needed to help blend.
  • Pour into a 1 lb. loaf pan or ice cream tray. Top with a sheet of wax paper. Place peach sorbet in the freezer.
  • When ready to serve, let peach sorbet sit out a few minutes to soften slightly. Serve and enjoy!
