Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Style
If there is one thing I know for sure, it’s that I love to throw a themed party! St. Patrick’s Day is the perfect time of year to gather friends and host a celebration! The weather is (hopefully) getting warmer, and it’s time to party. I’ve rounded up a few of my absolute favorite St. Patricks’ Day party ideas from the perfect recipes to decorations too.
St. Patrick’s Day Decorations

Something as simple as a green shamrock placemat can elevate glass plates for a dinner party! Visit the craft store and head to the St. Patrick’s Day section. I also love that felt decor can be pulled out year after year! See more from this St. Patrick’s Day celebration.

Even adults love candy so add rainbow candies to each place setting as a sweet favor for guests! You could tuck candy in small gold bowls (I spray painted some plastic bowls with gold spray paint). I chose a rainbow variety of Lindt truffles for my St. Patrick’s Day Dinner Party, but you could also use skittles or chocolate candies too!
If you have kids coming and want to keep them occupied, set out a rainbow assortment of paper, gold stickers, crayons, scissors etc and let them craft their own decorative rainbows!
St. Patrick’s Day Cocktails

I’m all for bringing back punch bowls. I love the idea of creating one large recipe for a beverage rather than individual drinks for each guest. This Mojito Sherbet Punch is a fan favorite around here because it’s so delicious and green for the holiday!

My friend Leah of Freutcake always has the neatest ideas, including her Leprechaun Rum Punch rimmed in Lucky Charms – how clever is that? So if you’re not a mojito fan, this is a must-try!

For a drink that doubles as dessert, my friend Aimee Broussard’s Grasshopper Milkshakes will be a total crowd-pleaser.
St. Patrick’s Day Food Ideas
I shared a long list of my favorite St. Patrick’s Day treats here!

- Mini Guacamole Cups or my mini avocado toasts!
- Fruit Skewers (kiwi, honeydew melon, green grapes, green apples)
- Rainbow Fruit Board (purple grapes, blueberries, green apples, pineapple, oranges, and strawberries)
- gold coin topped cupcakes and brownies (see below)
- spinach wrap roll-ups
- cucumber bites

You can also get creative with filling cupcakes or brownie bites with gold (or rainbow) sprinkles for a fun surprise! This is always a hit with the kids!
One of my favorite sources for inexpensive tablecloths is Amazon! I have this tablecloth here in tons of colors and it comes in the perfect green for St. Patrick’s Day! Add in white plates and gold flatware for the perfect base to your St. Patrick’s Day party!
